Thread: Why, carbineer correspondant check this out if there is one
As for the special.... who knows?
well they do less than half or more damage then an advanced lazer and the spd is bit much faster
they are all garbage
READ before you post......after you have AT LEAST read the STICKY posts and still have questions, then we might be able to help you.....

As far as the original post goes, I have never found a practicle use for an elite either
With there speed being so low, and there damage only decent, at best, I really see no use in them. I use E11 carbines for PvP, and the only benefit of the elite I can see is it min damage is nice. Comparable to an E11 but probably a little better. It would be nice to see a damage improvement on it in the combat rebalance, and also a master shot would be supurb

Lets just ignore the fact that the Elite is the most discussed Weapon in the FAQ......
Is it too much to ask people to READ THE FAQ.......THEN ask questions instead of make childish little statements about how awful something is.
Fine, FLAME me for stooping to their level on this one but I figured it was the only way to communicate.....on this level.....
This is NOT some /cry baby Jedi orFotM forum.......if I have stooped too low to reach the level of previous posts them I am sorry.....but somebody has to say it and I don't mind looking like the "bad guy" to make a point 
and I appreciate it, but there are new carbineers that come and go on a daily basis. I have gone in and out of professions and I am not always up to date on the current issues of each profession. Who cares if an issue is discussed over and over, I see it alot and I ignore it alot
I still got beef with the Elite Carb though
Well after the work put into the FAQ I find it VERY frustrating to have people ignore it coming into this Forum......and then people here don't use it either.....feels like I am taking on that Fencer at 0m
No the Elite is not what it SHOULD be, but it sure has its place.....unlike 99% of the "other" gamers out there, Carbineer is for the Thinking Man/Woman. There are at least 4-5 Weapons and 8-10 Specials that need to be used in different situations. This is not grab a Jawa or T21 and spam one button until somebody dies type of thing.
Personally I think our FAQ should emphasize this "play-style" fact a bit more to HELP people make the proper decision on Carbineer vs. FotM profs.....
Or maybe I am just grumpy tonight

Very true. I guess I am just sick of flames on the forum in general I would just rather see an insightful point then, maybea direction toward the FAQ, as I try not to be negitive (I get grumpy to though...sometimes just fully blown pissed at everything:smileymad or what I tend to do...Ignore stuff. But then again I know nothing
Still though, I got serious beef with the Elite
The Elite is quite handy as EisMan has shown.....my personal guns favor the Laser by ONLY 1% So it does have its place.
And sometimes it gets boring around here so I like to keep the pot stirred up nicely
