Thread: Stock or no stock...
Well you should be getting stocked AND scoped Carbines with MBH ![]()
It really depends on what you are trying to do, and what you are fighting. I never use stocked carbines because the HAM costs are so high, but I also have only semi-regular access to buffs. Others (such as the person I sold by 80HAW weight carbine to... ouch) swear by damage/speed and ignore everything else.
I would say your best bet would be to try buying one or two of each, and try them out. If they are non-kryat, it should only cost you a few tens of k, less if you resell them later. This would likely give you a better feel for what you want in a gun more than any advice you might get on the forums. Not to mention it is more fun than having the answer handed to you on a silver platter
However, the short answer is: "in general, what TAFirehawk said." ![]()
Don't forget the Brandy, its the drink of the gods......
And it helps to get friendly with one of those cute Master Dancer/Musician types ![]()
I'm touch and go on Brandy, once the poison starts flying in PvP, I like to use the Blue Milk after that second or third tick of Acklay venom Mind gunk wipes me clean. Of course, I'm a little spoiled having a guild with a pair of Dancers who can buff pretty much on demand when I need it.

Thanks for the info.
The armorsmiths on my server rarely have scoped and stocked guns available. I've got some of the stuff from all the theme parks, I just have to take the time and hook up with an armorsmith.
I'm a Wookiee so I'm always buffed, brandied, steaked and snow crisped up (accuracy is key when you have no defense).
Thanks again...looks like I'm componant shopping.

Actually, I hope there aren't any Armorsmiths scoping and stocking anything except decent armor layers. j/k
I feel for you as a wookiee, my main character, who's name graces my forum name, used to be a combat toon and a Carbineer. Fighting without armor just got to be too much on a server where 80-90% composite competition was a regular occurance.
I wonder if you can stack a Crispic with a Snow Cake? My wookiee is now a Master Artisan who does a wicked +22 Accuracy/12 minuteCrispic with BE additives.
