Thread: Carbineer vs Fencer/Pistoleer
Any Master Carbineers fought Pistoleer/Fencers before? I have the BH Carbine tree also and they are impossible to knockdown and kill.
I have also had BIG problems with these, so I thougth that I would fight fire with fire and are now struggling up towards swordsman to get massive counter attack + KD defenses and more.
I have surrendered the BH line in order to do this, but I will keep you updated if it works or not. ![]()
Just a warning...
The jury is still out on if the +counterattack mods stack from class to class.
Hi all, I would like to give my insight on this topic. My first Holo told me to Master Fencer and my second Holo told me Carbineer. There really is no compairson. Its all Melee vs Range. As a Fencer I got some amazing defencive skills which makes me extreamly hard to hit. Between Dodging and Evading I would say 1 out of 5 attacks can hit me. I use Advanced Composite armor so when those blows do hit me they dont do nearly as much dmg. The special attacks Fencers get are not too bad but I must comment on our Bleed attacks. We have 2 different ones that stack with eachother. The first does about 500+ every 15s and the second one will do around 1500+ every 15s. Thats just fricken amazing. On top of that we have our speed. I use a Gaffie stick which has the longest speed score out of all the weapons a Fencer can use yet I can get about 3 hits to every 1 attempt from my enemy. While going through this profession I though it couldnt get any better until I finally mastered it. As a Blademaster we gain 1 more special attack which does 7x the normal dmg. We hit hard and fast, we hardely ever get hit.
Now Im working Carbineer... LOL. There is no compairson to these different professions. You are only as good as your weapon allows. Sure you may get some 'to hit' bonuses or whatever but that cant compair. The only way I know of to attack a target is by using special moves which we all know eats away at your own HAM. I can kill myself faster than any MOB in the game can. Granted I am still very young in this profession yet I see no light on the path to follow. Its a thankless gring towards broken special moves. I thought soloing was completely out until I started using those bleeds I mentioned above. Pull with carbine then switch weapons and get the bleeds to stick then quickly switch back to carbine. All exps gained will go towards carbine exps.
Again I must say that I am not very experinced in Carbine but this is my impression so far.

Blademaster- Pax Imperius
I am almost master carbineer, I need mast counterinsurgency.
I really can't mess with the pistoleer/fencers .. unless... they have the sword or baton in hand first. I have "Fencer" aka all of footwork so I can spam melee1hdizzy1 (doing quite a bit of dodging myself) and when the state sticks I switch to carbine and hit charge shot. Since I have good speed and they have good dodge it's only a matter of connecting the shot.
If they bust out their pistol and start with stopping shot i'm screwed though.
A blademaster (only combat skills) unbuffed with no armor STILL can't hang with a SMART TKM....
But we win a lot more often now... too bad I had to drop it. Back when I was blademaster and had charge shot also, I would hit bleed2, dizzy2, chargeshot, and then spam bodyhit3 and if they weren't dead (some uber bounty hunters tried to pull out LLC and got incapped after bleed2 and dizzy2) by then, they died quick.
yeah - use Fire KD do a hit and hope for a Dizzy and then follow up with a chargeshot and hope you hit (50% chance it seems from what I've done).
after that it's a cake.
But if you're looking for something better - Try chargeshot, crippleshot, wildshot2, and scattershot2 and you should be good.
wildshot - usually hits health for about 200 dmg and scattershot2 is always your friend
