Thread: The Devs obviously hate us

They won't fix our HAM costs, They won't fix counter-attack, and when we ask for a new carbine, they refuse, claiming creating new weapons is extremely diffilcult and hard.
Lets see: Within the last 3 Dungeon Publishes, the Devs have released 5 new weapons, the Berserker Rifle, the Genosian Sonic Blaster, the DE-10 Pistol, the Executioner's Hack, and the Razor Knuckles. Now, if it takes months of hard planning to make weapons, how come within the span of one month 5 weapons were designed for Exatcly the professions that don't need them. Pistoleer was powerful enough to begin with, and after the genosian pistol they got all the love they needed. Heavy Swordsman has always been well balanced, it never needed a new weapon, the Scythe is powerful enough as is. The Razor knuckles are giving the Teras Kasi, a profession already strong enough, a Non-Kinetic Damage type, You hear me Folks, The Unarmed experts have Two Weapons.
In Three Dungeon Publishs, The Devs decided instead of giving us a carbine, they'd give everyone a new Landspeeder.
Sure you can claim they've fixed our specials more than all the other professions, and thats because we're pretty much the only profession that has had 10/15 of their specials redundant or broken
Sounds like the Devs are on the Atkins diet, Nice and Low on Carbs.

I think we went from 'really broken' to 'a bit broken' and now I feel we will have to wait a while until the big dev hand of love touches us again. Patience, it's not that bad, at least most of our specials work.
I liked the atkins diet thing though - very funny.

Sounds like you need to leave......there are plenty of "other" professions out there to make you "happy".....no sense paying money and not having "fun".
Sometimes the glass is half full instead of half empty.....
But personally the Devs did A LOT for Carbineer before the Combat Revamp, many thanks to Nova for pushing the right buttons.

I'd say the devs love us. We a one ofthe few professions working close to how we are intended. I think we have a good balance between damage and state application. I'm not saying we're perfect. I'd love more speed at master, more wepon option, better defences and lower HAMs. However, maybe it's not meant to be, maybe other professions are meant to operate more like carbineer and we're the only ones working right. Hey, I know it's frustrating to seemingly get "pwned" by everyother class but if being a PVP monster is what you want then carbineer is not the right choice for you. Go try rifleman or CM, I don't blame anybody for leaving profession if they are not having fun and there is nothing wrong with wanting to be "uber". Your just not going to be able to do it as a Carbineer.

Publish 7 realy gave us a lift. I think we're working quite fine now. All things aren't perfect but the skies are blue and it is not raining 
I hope though we're in que for another weapon. Other professions has gotten so it can't be impossible to create.

I mean...people do have a right to demand more weapons, and we do deserve that.
Working specials don't mean anything when the only way to deliver them in PvP are against targets that have 80 - 90% resists to your only damage types. 
...besides, the average PvP template has +75 defenses against every status attack...and status attacks don't seem to do much in PvE. (compared to their value in PvP)

We that view the glass as half full of course agree that IT IS HALF FULL, not overflowing here....
Of course we NEED more.....but lets not say the Devs HATE us.....

Firstly, pistoleers are worse off then we are, if we got a weapon and they didn't there would be a pistoleer just like you whining just like you are about carbines already being balance.
Secondly, saying the devs refuse to fix thing for us is wrong ... they fixed how many of our specials? I think carbineer's have had more specials fixed then the rest of the proffessions combined. All signs do in fact point to the devs hating us .... give me a break.
At the moment Riflemen and TKA are probably the two most popular proffessions out there. If SOE were to make new pikes and carbines and ignore Rifles and Knucklers, they would have 10 times as many upset players. The desicion doesn't sit well with me but, i can see why they made it. Just because the focus is on different proffession at this time, doesn't mean they hate the ones they are focusing on. You sound like a spoiled child. Mommy give me candy, not right now dear mommy is busy with your sister, why do you hate me.
Since the jist of this post seems to be One Star Ninja's go hard.

Optimism is good, realism is more effective though.
Just because people are stating what they believe doesn't make them whiners. =P
