Hi everyone, I just created a new wookie on Gorath and decided to go with Carbineer. Right now I'm just novice marksman, though. So on to my questions. First of all, where are the best places to get xp? Also, what's a good template to have along with master carbineer? And finally, I heard the HAM costs are pretty high, what food or drink can I use that will help? If there's anything else that I should know, feel free to tell me. Thanks

Most tips are in the FAQ and the other STICKY posts.
1. Kill everything that moves.
2. Get Doc buffs and use ahrisa and brandy.
3. Use speed sliced Carbines.

consider Bounty Hunter x4xx with carbineer, the extra speed and accuracy are awesome and the specials you gain are also worth having.
The ham costs are such that with this template you are unable to fight anything unbuffed.

I was looking at a character builder and came up with this template:
Master Carbineer
Bounty Hunter (0-4-0-0)
Medic (2-0-1-0) - To heal those bleeds that are back in the game
Creature Handler (4-0-1-0)
Is this template any good? I mainly do PvE, but every once in a while I'll do some PvP.

You will own in PVE but the lack of damage types will keep you out of high end content. PVP wise you will be competitive but not uber. Nice all around template.

What do you suggest I drop to get some pistol then? Since I mostly PvE, I thought the CH would be nice. Would it be better to just drop the CH and pick up some pistol instead?

I might invest some SP in pistoleer 0040. That way you can get some kickass defenses. In PvP your going to need the defenses otherwise you'll get KDed/dizzy before you knowtice it

Those Pistoleer skills are 99% for PvP......as my sig says, CH is a fine match to Carbineer for PvE
And a true PvP'er needs a lot more than just 0040 Pistoleer to compete....

Your template is fine for PvE.
What you don't do is try and create a "all round" average joe template. That is not good. Few profession combinations are effective at both PvE and PvP. To be honest - either go pure PvE, or pure PvP.
For PvP the most important is:
- 0/0/4/0 Pistoleer (defences)
- BH Carbine Tree
- Fencer 4/0/4/0 or 0/4/4/0

I like the idea of a carbineer / BH / Creature Handler
If you put your CH skill in 0/0/0/2 you could call 2 bomb droids as you would also be a BH.

What new Skill Mod has been added at 0002 CH to let you pull TWO droids at once?
MaybeI have missed something but I have been a CH for months and months and months.
