Thread: In market for new Carbine
Which carbines should I buy and use?
The laser carbine (energy damage, medium armor penetration) is one of the best all-around weapons in the game. No carbineer should be with out a laser carbine. The DH17 snubnose (energy damage, no armor penetration) is a decent carbine though it suffers from lack of armor penetration. The EE3 (heat damage, no armor penetration) and DXR6 (acid damage, light armor penetration) carbines are useful for targets that are vulnerable to those damage types. The elite carbine (energy damage, light armor penetration) is very useful in PvP. See the section on damage mitigation for more information on the elite carbine and PvP.
For more info on carbines, see the expanded Carbine Weapon Info a few pages down in this thread.
Also an Enhanced E11 is nice, but quite frankly a Laser, EE3 and DXR6 get you all our damage types in their best form.

Read the FAQs TAfirehawk - thx.
My question was more asking what your preference would be. Based on the FAQs, I would assume the elite carbine or DXR6 would be the way to go for Jedi missions. Yet I hear all sorts of people using other weapons. Question was not soliciting a repeat of the faqs, but thx anyway.
LOL - I am getting that impression too. It's unfortunate that such an interesting weapon can't have more power somehow. This has been discussed ad nauseum, but it would be great for BHs to get their own powerful weapons in each class of weapons - weapons that were more effective against Jedi. Most people suggest getting TKM, but does this really make sense if comparing to "real" starwars events? I mean, it seems to me that any melee profession should be owned by the light saber and that ranged professions, while possibly being blocked by the LS, should have more of a chance against the Jedi.

oh and good luck hunting a jedi as any type of marksman let alone a carbineer. My true suggestion for you is to find a new profession if you want to hunt jedis.

2 pieces of advice for you
1.) remove yourself from the star wars universe when thinking of this game, it makes it less disappointing and more fun.
2.) remove and sense of logic or common sense when coming up with ideas for this games. This will bring you closer to the waysthe devs think and possibly get more of your ideas accepted.
and for your information /sarcasm was off the whole time
Sad....but true.....
