Im a new carbineer, but i have prepared and have a few nice carbines (well 1 and a few decent) my best is a kryat lazer at 2.6 108-726 after pup. But asides from this i dont know what to use for pvp, i dont like such a low min, i know where i can get some decent kryat carbines but i dont want to invest the 4 mil most of them cost without knowing what ones i should be using. So
dh-17, snubby, ee3, e11, elite, or just lazer, i have heard you need to use a variety i would juist like to know what exactly is worth investing in.

The DXR-6 is the best one for truly high end PvP, since it bypasses PSGs and has a fairly tight damage range.
That Laser will rock the world of any melee-only kiddie you step up to.

And for those heavily armored folks.....only a DoT Carbine will work.....

bah, not the answers i wanted to hear, i dont like the dxr and i fond dot carbines to be rather few and far between. But thnx for the tips i guess ill have to delve into my non-existant wallet and get a nice dot and see if a dxr with 400 dmg exists

I didn't at first either, but invest a bit of credits into some good krayt tissues, get a good slice, and it'll be an awesome weapon. The DPS might even be close to that of your awesome Laser Carb's when concerning mitigated/PSG'd targets.

ya i guess, but on my server kryat carbines are hard to find and a kryat dxr is almost unheard of. So i guess ill have to do what you said and get my own tissues, i just dont like taking the slice risk. O and if anyone here is from bria the lazer was from tortillas display table and if your not then you wont know or care

DXR-6 is without a doubt my favourite carbine. Plus Acid damage is incredibly potent in PvP, no quite as much as stun, but without a doubt a very close second. People really don't realize how much difference PSG's make, and a DXR-6 hits like it wasn't even there ... yummy
The only downfall is the large tissue req for kryating them ... oh well, you can't have it all

k thnx for the tips. Anyone know exactly the amout of tissues needed forthe dxr including the schem, and what about elite, i looked at the FAQ and saw that it seemed to be the best vrs ranged on paper? I know where i can get a kryat elite but dont want to dish out the 4 million that it would cost (i personnaly think thats overpriced but... no i dont know any good ws that i could get a custom order from) without being sure im goin to have a use for it.

The DXR6 is my preferred Carbine but I have a Laser Carbine to play with every now and then, especially if the opponent doesn't have a PSG. The lousy min.damage is what puts me off for PvP purposes. The DXR6 has the lower, but tighter damage range to reliably do more damage against mitigations. I like the Elite Carbine also... it has a tight damage range like the DXR6 and it looks very nice. The big problem is Energy Damage, where the Laser Carbine will fulfill that role much better.

DXR-6's have 5 power handlers from a factory crate, so you need 6 tissues, (1 for the WS to make a schematic with, and then they can run 5 off in a factory) Very steep, but very worth it IMO. The weapons that only require 1 handler don't need to be factory ran so you do a straight exchange, for example the DH17's only have one handler so you only need one tissue not 2.
The FAQ has a greatwrite up on weapons, to figure out how manytissues are needed just look at the powerhandlers and addone. But power handlers are generic and work in any weapon, so say for example you looted 8 of a kryat, you coulduse one to make a schematic, and end up7 handlers, then put 5 into a DXR-6andmake 2 Enhanced E-11's. Also it is a good idea to have an extra tissue or 2 in the set in case something goes sour on the WS side. Or maybe even have them make 3 schems with those tissues and use the best for the DXR-6. Most crafters know the best stats obtainable based on their resources, so they will know when they hit their best stats on a kryat power handler.

If you don't mind taking it in the butt from HAM costs, you can always go the full stock and scope route. Should get you a pretty fierce DXR-6 sans Krayt tissues, but look out for those HAM numbers.

I'm a fan of the enhanced E-11 in PvP. It has a tight range of damage, so mitigation isn't as much of an issue as with others, and it only requires 1 Krayt tissue to make a krayt version of it.
