Hi, From your past experience what shots do you recommend using in PvP?

I'm close to getting fullautoarea2 and I'm wondering how well this will work with actionshot2 in PvP. I'm thinking I can hit a few fullautos until everyone is dizzy and then spam actionshot2 to get everyone kneeling. This sounds good on paper but does it work?

Sorry for stealing the thread, but if this gets answered it helps everyone right?

Yes that works in theroy but so many people are using food to improve knockdown defence it doesn't work as well as you would hope. I seem to find myself using scatterShot 2 more and more as it has a good chance to do mind damage. Also of note I think we are WAY more affective in igroup PVP than solo. Using states to pin a target down or slow them up so that Riflemnen and or TKM's can take them out. I'm not a hardcore PVP'er though so maybe someone else can chime in here also.

try /burstrun

cause...hmmm...well couldn't compete with most "I-hit-speed-cap-with-uber-weapon" professions

carbineer should be cool for mass PvP (i.e. not duels) and PvE, no way you could duel anyone in the game except noob-spamming-dumb-new masters

Your first statement is both right and wrong. Yes people have high KD defense now, but ActionShot1/2 and SuppressionFire1/2 do NOT KD, they posture change with NOBODY has enough defense to stop this. Unfortunately the % chance to land posture change is so low that getting a Dizzy/KD is very difficult in PvP these days.

ScatterShot2 is my most common attack in PvP after FullAutoArea2.....I don't bother with FullAutoSingle2 asI am not worried about drawing a mob to me

I love being Carb Master in PVP. I can sit about 27m and kd#2 shot and you would be suprised the amount of people that think they are fighting on a glacier after that shot!! I am master pike man too, for obvious reasons, but i find that i can take most professions by constantly running...using actionshot 2, kd 2, crippling.........lots of brandy and maybe a muon later it puts tkm and riflemen in their place...

I found out the hard way but.... do not stand still, if your aiming while moving is good then you will last more than most ppl...

Before i forget, i get alot of tells..... telling me I am a chicken!!!! for runningwhen i am up against the likes of atkm ..but it is satisifying when the chicken db's the ass out of the TKM because he cant catch you!!!!

Good Luck guys, long live the carbs..

FullAutoSingle2 or FullAutoArea2. FAS2 is in city solo PvP situations where drawing a TEF into combat and shifting the odds against you becomes a factor. FAA2 is for group actions when you want to flush them out.

ChargeShots are the immediate follow up. I triple tap them because it typically takes at least two to get one to trip them. ChargeShot works alright without the Dizzy for when you just need to get some separation between you and your opponent. Its not always needed in the "I win" mode.

FAA and FAS do acceptable Mind damage as well, which many people learn to dread in extended firefights. 80% of my PvP wins are the result of Mind incaps from the FullAutos.

And I agree, with so many ubertemplates being melee based, mobility is life.

Oh my, don't hit multiple ChargeShots as if the second one lands it stands them back up....bug

I must have missed the second ChargeShot, because I had two fire in a row and not stand my target up. I usually hit Clear once the target goes down. I know about the bug, but I've got to weigh that risk against the need to actually have the damned thing land.

I do Every PvP encounter I've won lately has been a Mind incap pulled off by keeping the battle from becoming a slugfest.

I use mobility to keep their accuracy from coming into play and high rate of fire to counter my own lost accuracy.

Again, I only risk the stack because, lets be honest, how many times has ChargeShot worked twice in a row since Publish 7?

Plenty for me and if I am in a group where other people have KD, it can be quite frustrating....

Ah, now I see where there's a difference. Most of the time I get into PvP situations is being the victim of an attempted ganking in a starport.

I'm 99% of the time on my own.
