Hey guys Im new to carbines and it seems to me that the BH Fire KD and Underhanded shot workmore often or just as oftenin PvE than the Carb Charge Shot. Not ot mention the animation that forces you to run foward when shooting charge shot bothers me and seems to prevent its use while running away from mobs (not 100% sure of that but it seems to). Very often BH Fire KD gets npc humanoidsto repetedly flop because of the dizzy KD. The are effect Charge shot 2 does not seem to have much use for PvE as its hard for me to dizzy that many opponents (might as well Fire KD each one). Im considering dropping the whole charge shot branch to get the skill points but I wanted to check with you guys (the experts!) to see if I would be making a pvp mistake by dropping it.

My current set up is Carb 3404 and BH 0400 Im thinking of switching to Carb 3440 BH 0400. All other skill points are used

I appreciate any insights

Thanks all!

i find chargeshot to work far better than any of the bh kd's. Use confusion shot to land dizzy, then use chargeshot to land the kd would be my advise

They all seem the same to me. I can't decide what's better. Right now I'm using underhand and it's just as craptacular as the others it seems.

i think charge shot works the most out of the different ones. underhandshot just dosen't ever seem to work for me, and i haven't really tried fireKD because charge shot rarely misses for me.

Quick question. In PvP, is it more effective against a single opponent to use ChargeShot 1(Single target, lower level) or ChargeShot 2 (Cone attack, higher level) or is there a difference?

i tested fireKD some and i found it and charge shot to be about the same. charge 2 is no more effective then charge one, just has a cone to it.

Yeah so far Fire KD of the BH line seems to be the most effective KD vs npc humanoids simply because it adds its own dizzy often. And seems to land most of the time. Im convinced that fo PVE the Carbaneer KD are not needed if you have the BH ones but its pvp that I wonder about but dont get to test against enemies whos KD resists I know. So far Ive only tested against my second account which has no combat skill lol. In the feild its hard to keep trak of all the chaos but Im trying to get more sessions in to test.

I tend to stay away from high end mobs, per the advise provided by Nova and Firehawk. I'm based on Rori and take on Rav Tortons regularly, or faction mobs when I need Imperial FP. What I have found is if I'm close in range Chargeshot2 is the best because it is a cone attack and knocks everyone down. Works about 90% of the time for me. I may or may not dizzy before I do that. Now, if I'm against one npc of any kind, I'll usually go with underhand. No extra animations. I don't do anything but execute the attack and then the target goes from standing to KD. That seems to work around 80% of the time. So I have a pretty good track record with both.

I use ChargeShot2 when I am running Janta/Mokk Shaman missions.

I usually run a straight line back and forth using cone attacks. I get them all chasing me in a tight group and unload FullAutoArea2, then reverse direction when they start to straggle, get them back together, then drop a CS2. I can usually get 3 out of 6 mobs flopping from a single shot.

It used to be that chargeshot1 was far superior to FireKD. Now I use all three. If Im running away (usually the situation) I'll use FireKD then Underhand. I usually open with sprayshot chargeshot1 thou. I find that changing up which specials you use for a given state or effect in a fight will sometimes by-pass what seem like UBER defences.

For instance if Sprayshot and Confusion shot are having a hard time landing a dizzy it seems full auto 2 will do the trick.

In general if something isn't working try a redundant special, this seems to work well for me.

I find that posture change attacks work 100% better than KD attacks. Everyone and there mother uses Thak in pvp.

Chargeshot works better than the BH KDs. I hit a mark with confusion shot then chargeshot he kept trying to get up and fell back on the ground like 5 times it was beautiful.....

I suspect that the KDs are all about equal. Read over this list and an almost equal number of people say that each individual KD is best. If one of the 4 was really better, I think it would have stuck out by now. Of course, that does not mean some testing could be done to find out which really is the best
