Thread: Your best carbine

Im sure a post on this topic has came up before, but couldnt find it. Well Im not doing this to show off, I just kinda want to see what carbines some of you people say are good that you pvp with, just to kinda get an idea of what I need to be getting.

I mainly use:
3.4 speed 110-704 Laser Carbine
and for DoTs:
283 Health Fire EE3, 97% potency, 54s,6000ish uses
220 Mind Poison E11, 33% potency, 154s,-1 uses
224 Mind Poison Laser, 67% potency, 120s, 5000ish uses
(stats on DoTs are estimates.. I'm not logged in right now, but it's pretty close)
The Laser Carbine is probably on the higher end of what most PvP Carbineers use, but anything close to 600 max damage with a Laser Carbine (powered up) is definitely kickass for PvP. It destroys non-mitigated opponents in a few shots, and will pack a punch even against those with mitigation and good armor.
The DoT Carbines are also pretty "high-end", they're several million each and the caliber may or may not be available on your server (but if they are, do look into getting them.. they're very worthwhile.)
Really, any Carbine crafted with tissues in the +30-50 range with slices in the 25% damage and higher are very good. Speedcapping is a Carbineer's best friend, so make sure that you can do that as well.

My EE3 is my best...and will be until I get an Elite with Legendary Krayt tissues 
Mind Poison, 259 strength, 35 dur, 68% pot, -1 uses
The duration sucks, but the only people I have to use it constantly against are the ones I can't KD.
If I can KD them (or PD then they fall), I switch to my Laser, which is 110-580, or my Elite, which is 256-299
Edit: Just wanted to clarify something, both my Laser and my Elite are pupped (Laser with max dam, Elite with min dam)

My Elite was retired long ago for my DXR6.....indentical resources were used and their DPS is within 1%.....but Acid Damage is key against PSG's.

Same. The *only* instance where I'd consider using an Elite would be if I looted some exceptional scope or stock or barrel that had a very high minimum damage, and we all know what the odds of that happening are.. not even sure if it exists.

I like my 589 max damage laser carbine mostly. I easily took on a dodge capped fencer and armored.
Once in awhile I use my Krayt Elite which is about 490ish damage. I don't really get to enjoy PvP anymore
with my computer. Lagg is terrible

Most people don't realize an AP1 Acid Carbine is as effective vs. a PSG wearing, effectiveness sliced composite opponent than an AP0 Stun Baton.

Im willing to throw down creds to get the stuff I need, because ranged is useless without good equipment but I play on kauri, and not many carbineers but good carbines stuff is hard to come bye, well thanks guys just trying to get a rough estimate on what I need to be sucessful in pvp

What's your template? We could probably guide you on which foods or weapons would be best suited to your style of play.

There is a sticky post with a list of Carbineers on the different servers, possibly take a look there for some friendly faces or maybe try the Kauri boards to see if there is a weaponsmith some other ranged proffessions reccomend for custom orders.
