Thread: Counterattack
From what I've read, I gather that this skill is not working at the moment. However, I'll take the chance that somebody knows how it is supposed to work.
What I'm asking is how the bonus we get per skill trained actually affects us in game. IE: I have +10 counterattack... does that translate to a 10% chance to counterattack, or does it work differently.
Also, same question about the carbine accuracy/carbine speed bonuses we get... how do those translate to in game effectiveness.
Finally... same question (yes I know I'm repetitive) about the ranged defense bonuses.
Thank you.
have you guys noticed yourself counterattacking more often? i know that a big buff to counterattack is already on the test center, but i find that i've already gotten a couple of lucky counterattacks.
last night, i saw in the combat box: hit for 1660, but shrugs it off and counterattacks.
that really helped me out. i didn't see any attack, but the shruging off part is enough
Just wondering, how come they call it counterattack when it does exactly the same thing as dodge, or block for that matter? Not that I really care, but they're all basically the same thing w/a different name
.
cause you actually hit them back??
I was dueling a BH - did eyeshot couldn't land anything cause I was blind and then I landed 1 shot which was a counter attack.
they called it counterattack to prevent stacking with pistol's dodge and rilfe's block...
but all three skills work the same way
yeah I checked combat log because I didn't hit the Bh doing Eyeshot one me.
It always said miss... except when it said counter attack for "dmg" which was 34 to 45 or something
While the move is called different things for each ranged profession, the melee professions also have dodge/block/counterattack. I was thinking of dropping commando to get carbineer so that I can have two professions with counterattack. With the buffs to the defensive moves the combination of the 110 or 115 counterattack that swordsmen get and the 105 or so that carbineers get could be very effective.
May sound likea dumb question but,
Can someone explain exactly what it is and how it effects combat in PvE and PvP?
what it is-A misnamed dodge
what it does-it "counterattacks" attacks made against you, basically completely mitigating their damage. the more mods you have, the higher you do it. it doesn't actually counterattack obviously. until master carbineer, it doesn't really affect much, even at master counterinsurgency. at master tho, its very useful in PvP and PvE, such as when you need some extra time to either escape or beat the **edit** out of the attacker
