So after reading this post about accuracy and Carbines, I kinda wanted to ask how many of you consistantly use powerups? Did you now theres other flavors of powerups beyond the typical 33max/16min pup? Did you now that an Artisan 'could' if he/she spent some time to get a 3rd or 4th bonus for extra accuracy? I would much rather get a few points of accuracy here and there, then gimp my weapon damage.
Im trying to get image dump to work and show you what a powerup looks like when an Artisan spends more than 5mins trying to create a quality powerup with nice accuracy mods. Stats are 32.83 max damage 16.17 min damage 8.25 max range accuracy 4.6 point blank accuracy5.9 health. Extra accuracy always nice without gimping your weapon damage.

i constantly use 33% speed/16% min damage powerups. as a carbineer you want all the bonus you can get

Watch out for yer weapons condition though, i had two exceptionally nice carbines (for my server that is) that were around 150-505 (Lasers) drop after repair to 42-100 and 36-90 (with pups lol)
Really annoyed the hell outta me.

I've heard many differentthingsabout PowerUps. Is there definitive evidence or proof that shows that they cause weapons to decay faster? I keep my guns nearly constantly powered up, and I might save some money if they really are killing them faster. lol.

The only evidence you'll need is to have your examine window open and watch how quickly the condition drops, usually 3 points for every 2 specials or such. I rarely use powerups unless I'm using a grind weapon which I can dispose of after, my 890 cond 2-handed sword went down to 470 in one night of using a 16% speed powerup. Healthshot or overcharge spam + powerup = dead pistol within hours.

Well OVERCHARGE will do that. Overcharge is meant to decay your weapon fast.

i don't think power-ups effect decay. i'll have to dig WAY WAY back, but there was a post on it somewhere, i dun think i'll be able to find it. i think decay is based on the damage you do, so using powerups will effect the decay bc ithey let you do more damage, but the power-up itself dosen't, but don't quote me on that.

powerups do not effect decay in anyway at all....cept of course naturally a +speed one does since u attack more often...
lots of special moves will decay a gun faster....charge shot does it really fast...

Powerups definately increase weapon decay, tested a 1048 cond laser carbine for a few missions and only lost 3 points of condition, then used a 100 uses powerup (min/max/pbr) and it dropped 19 in 2 missions. I was doing Hourton Huntresses. Same thing happens with my Powerhammer and Scythe, if I add a powerup it speeds the condition loss.
Go ahead, someone please run a test on this. And you'll see tons of people around the forum mention about powerups speeding up weapon decay I'm sure.
