Thread: Suggestion for TAfirehawk

It's nice to see an active corresponden t


I've recently returned to SWG after I quit in frustration over the horrendous pvp system nearly 2 years ago. Having been back for about a week and deciding on a Carbineer/Doctor centered profession build, I've finally gotten the hang of the SWG interface and am getting in back in the swing of things. The profession boards are an immense help---to a point.


There is a ton of obsolete information "stickied" due to the CU.


Some of it is easily identifible, some is not.


If you have the time, I would highly reccomend cleaning up some of the FAQ and stickied posts to either delete or archive the obsolete information.


I hope I'm not coming across as whiney or ungrateful for the information and work that has been done here, but the state of things is pretty confusing for any of the returning players or folks totally new to the profession.

Thanks for the info, but I know better than any other person what needs to be done with the FAQ and STICKY posts.


I have asked for people to help update the areas in the FAQ they are most familar with.....

Well you could start by going through and flagging or deleting every reference to a special that no longer exists.


Or, just looking through it and inventorying the things that look out of date, then posting a list and asking for help with specific items would be a good start.

While I am sure you mean well....or I guess I don't know really....you are treating me like I am some freakin idiot and I am starting to take offense to you and your 'helpful' posts.



A NEW FAQ will be generated and if you bothered to look at the old one you would see I linked to CU posts and/or have STICKY posts up right now for current topics. Quite frankly if you don't like it then post in the Corr Thread I have STICKY that YOU want to be the new Carbineer Correspondent.....or better yet PM/email Tiggs or TH asking that they replace me.....



Otherwise, please stop this nonsense.....any other similar posts will be viewed as a personal attack and fall under Moderator responsibility for you following the Seven Daily Rules.

For a correspondent you sureact like anass firehawk. This dude didn't treat you like an idiot, but you're making yourself look like one for getting so fired up over his suggestion that you update the faq. It was obvious from your first post you took it as a direct insult for someone to mention the faq was out of date to you. How about you take little break from the boards and cool down, you pretty much belittle any esteem or confidence people have in a correspondent

Firehawk has been a corr for a while now, Ive seen the way he posts, you understand, that people can look at things two different ways? To firehawk it might have been insulting, and to me, the way the suggeston was made, Had that ring to it too, Firehawk is human just like me and you and has his own emotions.


as for the bolded text, maybe you dont realise, that Firehawk, might be getting heaploads of PMs on the forums about that? maybe hes not insulted, just annoyed/frusterated , he know it needs to be done.

Consider it like this, if you dont have a sister, consider if you did...every 10 minutes your sister asks if you could go out side and watch her, while she goes swimming (she's young, bah) and, that is beyond annoying, for Firehawk its a different subject, but its still the same thing, being bothered by something like tons of times is FAR from fun, not only that, Firehawk, like he said, asked help from others, he can't remake/edit the FAQ by himself, it was MADE by a group of probably maybe 10 or more people ( not sure)


anyway, strikk, no offense, i hope you can understand why what you said ticked me off, and what i said isnt to you in general...its to everyone.

i understand your concern, Firehawk has probably has a gotten a ton of PM's about that, however the FAQ was not made by just one person, but by the effort of many combined, and it will take that same effort to change it and keep it up-to-date.


the one main thing, however, In my opinion, there has not been enough time yet, to get Hard-core Information on everything, yes somethings, but it will take time to fully change that FAQ. (you saw how many posts of info it had in it!)

Also, he'salready "started making" the new FAQ. As MrMark already said, it isn't just compiled by one person even if it's often mistaken to be like that.

Thanks for posting that link.....this is what burns me.....FFS I already have talked about updating the FAQ and made a STICKY post asking for all players input in getting that done and how/why the FAQ is made. All the original poster and flame poster have shown is that they don't bother to read any previous posts in this forum....or the STICKY posts.


For those that think I am an a$$hat about it, well that is because you don't bother to read jack in this forum about what goes on here. Those people put their foot in their mouth every single time.....I mean EVERY SINGLE person attacking me in this forum ends up with bit marks on there foot, no exceptions....and this time it wasn't even from a reply I wrote
