You start out as a Novice Carbineer but you end as a Master Carbinier...did I miss something?

I believe that:

The proper Englishword is Carabineer- although noone likes the second "a" for some reason. (I believe devs stated this was the correct version as well in some post but said since everyone wanted Carbineer it would be Carbineer.

Now, theItalian version of the word (Carbineers came from around there)ends with a "nier". I think thats why some people insist on it.

It's carbineer, the dictionary says so. Look it up yourself. (I looked it up to see the 'real' meaning of the word and compare it with SOe's idea of it. hehe

The profession was originally Carbinier when the game started, because SOE says that is a correct spelling. However Carbineer is also correct and the player community convinced SOE to change the message board name.

But they haven't cleaned up all the other instances of the spelling.

'Foolish boy. Don't you know anything about Fantasia? It's the world of human fantasy. Every part, every creature of it, is a piece of the dreams and hopes of mankind. Therefor, it has no boundaries.'
'But why is Fantasia dying then?'
'Because people have begun to loose their hopes and forget their dreams. So the nothing grows stronger. It's the emptiness that's left. It's like a despair, destroying this world. And I have been trying to help it.'
'But why?'
'Because people who have no hopes are easy to control. And whoever has control has the power'

During the Napoleonic Wars the French had quite a LOT of different Cavalry Types.

The Main french heavy cavalryman was a Cuirasier.Because of the Breastplates They wore.

The other Main Heavy Cavalry Type was the Carabinier-The Role of a Carabinier in Naploeons Army was

Basically ,Military Police-Note the main weapon of a Carabinier was the Heavy Broadsword NOT a carbine.

The Carabinier was Also armed with a Cuirass much like The Cuirasier

Now the Other Types of cavalry were the Hussar-Light cavarly and the

"DRUMROLL"

Dragoons -Who were armed with Broadswords and Carbines -They were Medium Cavalry that didnt wear Armour and acted like infantry in times of need. The Other Name For the Dragoon is

CARBINEER-because they carry carbines and dismount like infantry.

Ps You Can Blame Napoleon for creating 2 very Similar Named Type of soldiers with Different Roles
