best place to loot carbines?
I've heard the vette is pretty good.. but whats everybodies experience on looting them?

Then go make money....
Or hit the Vette, Mercenaries on Lok, Nightsisters, etc.

I havnt seen many ranged that drop from NS, the vette works great for me I have looted 2 dot carbines and a few other ranged weapons up there plus you run the chance of gettin the Powerplant to sell or keep.
and gettin the ticket dosnt take to long if you get a small group(3-4) have all of u guys hit the corvette dude then go to eacj POI until u get the ticket for all and then hit the vette over and over hehe its easy and alot of fun if you have a good team that works together

I have a few questions to the loots on the corvette...
- What mission do you take? Rebel / neutral / imperial? Destroy / rescue / escape (or so)? Doesit make a difference?
- What NPCs do you kill? Is there a sense to spent so much time to kill those 250k ham npcs?

Mainly 3 prime spots for Carbineers from my experience, though I myself used the Trade Forums to buy them (I just ask where they come from
Corvette: From my experience, the Rebel NPCs drop these often (so you have to be Imperial), but from what I'm told, loot drops are pretty reciprocative in terms of faction, so whether you're Neutral, Rebel or Imperial, it's all good. Just kill the most you can.. the high level MOBs have a rather high drop rate in SEAs and general loot.. it's not Carbine-specific, but since there's no "restriction" (like LVAs on NSs), DoT Carbines drop there. It may take several trips of killing almost everything to get something good, though.
Sith NPCs: Located on Dathomir, these guys are part of the various Combat Quests. They used to spawn frequently for the FS Melee Accuracy mission (during the last village shift on Starsider, shift #3), but mainly SITH THUGS (which are pretty tough.. like 50k HAM and high resists) drop all kinds of DoT weapons, from rifles to knives to Carbines, as well as attachments. Luckily, the Village is now swarming with them during the Phase 4 Village Quest.. so buff up and start killing.
Mercenaries/NPCs on Lok:A few people I've talked to get some weak DoT Carbines from these guys, but you're much better off grinding credits I find.. because their drop rate isn't that high.. and whatever DoTs you get aren't that great.
Misc/Others: Nightsisters and "special" rancors (ancient bull, enraged.. etc.) have also been known to drop some DoT Carbines, but these are very rare from these spawns.

Well i tried the village stuff, killed a bunch of thugs, no weapon loot whatsoever. 3 waves, 150+ some thugs, mebbe ill try the corvette but ill need to drag a few with me.

Found an EE3 with a mind poison from a Sith Thug at the Village. str. 214, 195 seconds, 47% pot, 5400 uses.

Alright, like mentioned, these Sith Thugs are the NPCs to hit, so hoard 'em while you can. As a heads up, I know someone who looted a ~250 str Mind Fire Carbine from these less than a week ago, and I myself *just* boughta 285 Health Poison anda 250 Action Poison that were apparently looted from the Sith Thugs in the Village during their frequent raids.
They're a pain to kill as Carbineer, but group up with a few buddies and you're bound to find something if you hit enough.

from my experience rancors, night sisters do but rare - corvette seems the best option - imp

The thugs are dropping stuff. I avoided them mostly but of the 10I looted,I got DOTed pike and bowcaster plus some dance modded shoes.
