Well I can best describe the feeling like this, your enemy is flopping KD'd dizzyed from states applied, you have +100 Speed, you take out that uber loot or uber stocked scoped carbine and you spam that Crippling shot one per second on that melee stacker with no mitigtation and watch those HAM bars drain.

Cripple is too slow for me.
I use scatter also, because it has a great change to hit the mind, and because i think the scatter effect eats through synthsteak.

I think they "fixed" all scatter hits (Fast blast, carb scatter and fencer) so synthesteak takes up the damage.
Say you hit three pools with scatter hit, the synthesteak eats up 3 uses in 1 attack.

I guess this means Crippleshot is only worth using if you're a BH/Carbineer then? Well, I suppose I'll stick with my scattershot2 then. It would be nice though if Cripple shot gave someone a 'slower' speed effect temporarily. Like, they are 'crippled' and thus, limping. Wouldn't that be neat!?

yeah I always imagined crippling shot being really crippling. heh. maybe a 5 second unbreakable delay that could only be used once every 10 minutes added to it? that would be cool

Scatter2 is.....decent. But i see your only 4/3/0/1 heh, just wait till you get burst2
I like to think of burstshot2 as the "fan shot" of
carbineer, and crippling shot as the "stopping shot" of carbineer. But, as a former pistoleer/BH, and a current carbineer/BH, burst2 and
crippling shot are FAR supperior. and yea crippling shot can be a bit slow, but as somebody else mentioned it, that 6x mod it packs when your
target is on his ass makes up for its speed. It is a very powerfull skill and is worth the delay. getting bh carbs just to cap crippling shot
is worth all the extra sp, and fire kd is always a good replacement for chargeshot 2. FireKD then crippling shot= omg wow

I checked the FAQ (last updated pub 7!?) and every carbineer I've talked too seems to think Cripple shot is the best thing since sliced bread but...right now I'm 4/3/0/1 and I'm just wondering when Cripple shot is actually going to be good. See...it's slower than ScatterShot2 and seems to do equal to or less total damage, the only obvious 'plus' over scattershot2 is that it's not deliberately spread amongst several of the HAM bars...I guess what I'm asking is, why does everyone like Cripple shot so much?

ScatterShot2 is good while you're leveling, its not a bad shot. But once you hit Master, CripplingShot comes into its own on Carbines around the 2.0 speed range.

Funny how NOBODY has said that CripplingShot and ScatterShot2 are EXACTLY the same speed (which they most certainly are).....and YES it is in the FAQ.....
BTW, we have also concluded that the damage modifier is exactly the same too.......
And from a previous poster.....FullAutoSingle2 is more DPS until you Speed Cap....BurstShot1 is equal DPS to CripplingShot with lower HAM costs....

Crippleshot and Scatter Shot 2 do about the same damage, give or take a little. The only difference is Scatter Shot 2 is a little faster and attacks all the pools at once. I have done a few tests on this because i wanted to know the difference. If I can find them I will post them here.

Please post the actual combat log with time stamps for 20 shots minimum....
Along with weapon speeds, your +Carbine Speed and any powerups used.....
Unless something has changed in the past 2 months or so.....ScatterShot2 and CripplingShot have identical DPS....with ScatterShot2 having the CHANCE to divide itself more evenly amoung the 3 HAM pools.
