Elite.

As a Weaponsmith I'd say do not get the elite. The way they are made you don't get additional bonuses for more tissue in one gun. I'd get mutliple Krayts of a lesser gun. But hey what do I know, I'm just a master weaponsmith trying to help you get the most out of your tissue there. Also what if there is a critical failure in the elite? then you've lost all the tissues. And you would be hella pissed.

call me crazy, but it looks to me like the DH-17 is better than the Elite, except for the slightly lower minimum.

why don't you go with two 17s and two EE3s?

well let me say my current dh17 stats

111-316 1.7 spd (speed sliced)

130-395 2.3 spd (dmg sliced)

139-404 3.1 spd (dmg sliced)

98-391 2.1 spd (dmg sliced)

so do i really want more dh17s?

make a krayt laser carbine

a laser carbine would use 4 of the tissues, laser best left for a set of 4.

i have a krayt laser already 48-363 3.4 spd

leaning more and more towards the elite..

elite is no good - as is your laser one . go for a new laser and a DH17

I agree with the Laser/DH17. Elites have been proven on too many occasions to be nothing more than a sack of flaming horse...you know. Blowing all 5 tissues on a mediocre gun, with a too large chance of them all blowing up in the weaponsmith's face. Simply not good. I personally can't stand the laser carbine in PvP, because of it's poor speed. But krayt lasers aren't SO bad. Only when I hit the speed cap with crippling shot do I know I've got a good fun for PvP, and thus far only a DH17 has been able to pull it off for me.

Can anyone post stats on the fasted speed(unsliced) krayt laser carbine, so I can drool?

I purchased 5 krayt tissues and am wondering which to get made, I already have about 4 superb krayt dh17s, but my concern is getting an elite made and having it critical fail (risk is higher with krayt weapons) i'll be wasting all of my tissues.

the stats on the tissues are : +55 max dmg -1.14 spd

Dh-17 Short Carbine 76-242 1.3
Elite Carbine 104-237 2.4

with a rifle stock the stats would be more like
Dh-17 Short Carbine 111-276 1.5
Elite Carbine 140-270 2.7

my krayt laser is

43-331 damage

2.3 speed (sliced for speed)

29/46/23 ham

so my point is go with a krayt laser and hope for a speed slice on it

after a great day of krayt hunting, I decided to go ahead and get the elite made. The gun turned out perfect from the weaponsmith. Alas the slice was less than ideal. 15% damage The gun however is still a very very nice elite carbine. And I am happy to own it. Not to mention the scope showed up on the weapon making it look stellar
