I prefer pickets with my little bug and some food I can take them no problem. As long as I play smart and watch where I am (nothing like wandering into a bunch of angy lizards cause you are busy killing pickets) I pull in good xp and solid creds. But as I am sure we all do I would like a change so where all does everyon hunt. When I am with groups I hunt all over the place and would love some sugestions for that as well.

Doctors and Tatooine sunburn is what I spent most of my carbine time hunting.

Recently tried my hand at voritors on Dantooine. These little bad boys can put a hurting on non-CH pets so be careful in that aspect. But these guys have acid vulnerability and using my DXR6, I get 3.9-4.2k per kill with my commando friend. Solo, I get 4.8-5.2k.

if you have good tank, like at-st, try nym's on lok, they are great for xp, very easy and drop decent loot like high velocity firing mechanism, very rarely holocron.

I clear out the pirate outpost sw of the imperial outpost on lok, it's around 140k carbine xp for 15 minute of work. but spawn rate at outpost is slow though.

I give the credit of my rise to Master all to my Rock Beetle. I use one too and it just makes things so much easier. When hunting I would just aggro with the Beetle, use Warning Shot on all aggros but one, and then just open fire with strongest attack on the remaining one. You'll need to be able to stimpack(either Medic or Pet stims) your beetle so don't get too comfy, unless you stay in healing range of the pet. For this method I suggest hunting lower level voritors on dantooine because they have no armor and no resistance to energy. The higher level voritors have Medium class armor and have resists to energy, so they take too long to kill and aren't worth the time you put into them. Plus they poison, which isn't a problem for me but it does matter for most any other carbineer. If hunting in a group, the best method would be completely different, but as I see it, this is the best way to solo grind exp.

I don't think you can use rock beetle anymore, since they are cl 14, and last patch restrict non ch user to cl 10 and below.

Actually, Non-CH's can still use lvl 15 pets. The change you are talking about will not be implemented until the next big patch at the earliest.

In my experiencing Pickets have never been very good in the XP for time department. I can kill victors and bols much easier and over time that means better XP.

Hmm I kill the lizards between Pickets missions and they dont give me that much better xp than pickets. Of course as I move closer to master again it may change. I have recently learned that if you have a ch friend who is willing to help you power level just have him sick his pet on the hive, wait till all the critters are agro on the pet, and start spamming full auto area on them. Its silly and not very intresting but the xp you rake in us huge.

Heya,

I follow the Herbavore meat around, thats what I hunt.

Kinda boringI know, but I am just not into Holocrons, and that would be the other thing to do at this point.

Maurauders on Endor are great if you're in a group. They're npc's so they shoot at you unless you let someone else shoot first. Your best bet would be to have someone with a dizzy attack in the group, once they are dizzy you use charge shot to knock them down and they probably wont get back up, if they do just chargeshot them again. They are vulnerable to heat so if you have a good EE3 (100-200 dmg range) you can pretty much outdamage anyone else in the group and get about 3-4k xp each, plus loot!! Usually just creds but it's better than the crappy herbivore meat the pikets have been having lately (on naritus at least) Plus it's a change of pace from the regular grind,it's always fun when one stands up and decides it doesn't like you for some reason.

Come to think of it, if you have someone with a dizzy attack you can take out just about any npc pretty easy. (shhhh don't let the dev's hear) ( oh wait, what am I worried about? They never pay attention to us or our forum so I guess we're pretty safe:smileyhappy

I like hunting Pirates and Canyon Corsairs on LOK I don't hunt NYM's since I don't wish to be aggroed by yet another MOB on that planet or every time I go into the stronghold. I get anywhere from 3k to 4.7 per kill and they're not hard to kill if your a CH, or in a group. A good combo on them is some sort of dizzy attack then KD they tend to stay down the entire time.
