I'm looking into doing carbine after the patch.

I'm looking for the types, components (ie high velocity feed mechanisms, krayt tissues, scopes, stocks).

I'm just very curious for a soon to be carbineer.

Elite Carbine made with Krayt Tissue and Form Fitting Stocks (from Imp Outpost) and a damage slice.

can you use a high velocity feed mechanism in it?

and how much are the stocks worth? (roughly i know that the economy is different on different servers)

You don't use Feed Mechs in the Elite.

Yes from the Imperial Theme Park. I don't know the current value of them, sorry.

To add to what he said, you use High Powered Energy Capacitors. Those enhance blaster handlers. Except it's kinda hard to get 5 identicals.

Here is what i use. Has kryte tissues and the imp stock and the best resorces to ever hit our server. Also has a 27% damage slice and max/min powerup as you can see.

with this i can shoot cripple shots at 1.3 seconds ; )

You guys realize that a speed slice (that doesn't hit the player's speed cap) is 14% better than the same % damage slice? Guess NOT....

Although using powerups can change that slightly.

but also realise that the lower the speed is before the slice the less it will be lowered by the slice. if you have a 4 speed weapon and get a 25 speed slice its now a 3 speed weapon. but if its a weapon with 25% slice its 1.5 speed. So if its a fast weapon its better to get a damage slice for more bang for the buck and use the powerup to suplment what dident get sliced...sence powerups run out and sometimes its not to convient to put another one on right away...or needed.

Over all though you want to get the speed as close to the cap on your best moves as you can and then try and get as much damage out of it as possable. With carbines withought bh you usualy want a speed slice for more dps unless you have some fast tissues and the imp stocks etc to bring the speed down for you.

OK, lets do the math...

Laser Carbine with 3.5 speed and 50/280 damage, 94.3 DPS:

30% speed slice becomes 2.45 speed and 50/280 damage for a 134.7 DPS - higher by 9.9% over damage slice

30% damage slice becomes 3.5 speed and 65/364 damage for a 122.6 DPS

DH17 Carbine with 2.0 speed and 70/230 damage, 150.0 DPS:

30% speed slice becomes 1.4 speed and 70/230 damage for a 214.3 DPS - higher by 9.9% over damage slice

30% damage slice becomes 2.0 speed and 91/299 damage for a 195.0 DPS

The 14% 12.9% difference comes into effect when comparing each slice to the unsliced weapon. And of course a speed slice down to 1.4 can only hit the 1.0 Speed Cap with +72 Carbine Speed so you really don't have to worry about hitting the Cap.

BTW, did I mention I am an Engineer?

Like i said...and actualy agreed with you.

Speed beats damage till cap...Btw think you got enough edits to check your math? hehe

Some people seem to want to be flamed so much that they see it where it dosent exist.
