Thread: the last straw
Well i woke up this morning to head to my factory and guess what its not there ..... It could be my fault or a system bug im not sure but my other factory is still arounds so im a bit baffled. Well lost all my Armor modules that were stored in the output hopper and a bunch of other stuff so on that note and with all the problems that keep occuring with the DE profession im hanging up my hat and have put a gone fishing sign on the door.
Good luck all im threw producing crap droids for little or no money ill take my 1 million that i made in this profession and explore the lands now. I will no longer be producing droids on SS so all you up and coming peeps take on my business if you are interested i have about 15 emails waiting on production. Send tell to maggott or an email .
Thanks all
Maggott

I'm sorry, but I just can't seem to drum up much sympathy for a DE with a million credits in the bank. Sure, it sucks that you lost your factory, but for crying out loud, something must be working right for you.
Was this after the server reset?
If so, your factory is most likely still there, just didn't spawn into place yet.
I had this happen yesterday to me, a couple of hours later when I tried again, my factory was back. I was lucky, in that I KNOW my factory is sitting with a bunch of other structures, and NOTHING was in the immediate vicinity.
Oddly enough, yesterday morning I placed a chemical extractor, and a few minutes later, the server finally got around to showing the one that was already there. Now mine is overlapping someone else's extractor, and I cannot access it to pay maintenance or operate the machinery or anything.
It's all due to bad lag between the databases I think.
welp guys i am 2/3 of the way thru carbine and I think I will be dropping it. the republic blaster is what made me make up my mind. I always loved the carbine ,well cause I am freash out of the marines and the specials were a thinking mans type thing imho, I loved using states to basicly debuff. this week i decided to get novice smuggler for a lil dungon romping, so I could get some skill tapes. now omw up the pistol tree I was totally amazed at how fast the xp came, top it all off I can buy a 2.0 spd 200 dmage weapon that seems to hit more then my 1.7 spd 213 dam krayat carbine, and get this 18k for pistol 100k for carbine. and by golly i had a ton of ham left after totally spamming my specials. i have been holding out for fixes, but it is to the point that waiting hads made me so flustered I was going to quit. now I just changed professions and as a novice smuggler- no pistoleer yet- I do better then I ever did as a 2123 carbineer
gl guys and keep up the battle to those who lasted longer then me.
I know no real post count who is this guy , well got banned for a semi (really) constructive post on how to fix the broken csr performance in this game
First I noticed that panic shot was no longer worth putting in my toolbar and spice was worthless since chef foods completely killed the market. Maybe a few people get a muon or a pixie to put in their toolbar for an emergency, but that's about it. Then the notices of delays started hitting, along with requests for issues that need to be fixed...even though they've been listed forever on this forum...
The real kick to the balls came when I got JTL beta... Since I agreed to non-disclosure, I can't say it here, but all the others in beta know what I'm talking about. I discovered it from a thread on this board.
Now, not even feign death is safe. The BH correspondent is getting the development team to nerf a smuggler skill by renewing a bug that let riflemen kill us? Ok, I'm sorry, but this is completely lame. Now that one skill that allowed me to sell faction without getting killed by some noob FOTM out to farm a base will be gone...and without even providing a good reason. FD is not a major problem for BH missions simply because of the skill points required for it.
Let me explain something to those of you that never bothered to check on it. Within a week or two of leveling jedi you'll have all your novice boxes and 2 rows of sabers. At this point, you're basically a moron for still wasting SP on dirty fighting since you will have to gut your melee template (TKM/fencer mods) in order to keep feign death. You need those rows of fencer and TKM to keep from getting ripped to pieces before you get your healing skills and extra toughness from master sabers. I had to go through this since I took 0040 pistoleer for defenses, and at 4004 sabers and the others in novice I was left with a couple rows of fencer and one of TKA. That won't cut it. The punchline here is that even one row of smuggler is only useful for a very short time as a jedi. I'd be willing to bet that most of the BH that complain about jedi using feign death have never had a jedi use it on them.
Basically, I've come back to the profession that I really like only to watch most of the future I hoped to see for it melt away, and reach the point to where token use of one of its key skills by the jedi profession is enough for Tanks to get that skill nerfed in one of the dumbest ways... Need I point out that rifleman is the prof with the posture up, and is one of the least likely profs for a BH to take up? Bringing back this bug wouldn't fix the problem of jedi using it since BH will just complain that they have to call up a rifleman to come to them if a jedi does feign. All it will do is make it so a smuggler trying to save his skin in a bad situation (like selling faction), which...correct me if I'm wrong...is the whole point of the skill, will get killed by the FOTM rifleman/fencer(or tkm).
In conclusion, I just can't take the aggravation anymore. I was channel surfing the other night and came across this show called animal cops (or something like that) where there was a starving, cold, abused dog....I'm pretty sure the footage was from when they had drop shadow removed from the tags for a few days because that had to be a bothan smuggler... The look in his eyes just screamed, "I would damage slice that acklay for you if I could, but the game isn't written that way, please don't yell at me when it goes speed..."

I could go on and rip up the bit about dropping all other skills and how jedi should be hard and just say that it is. It's harder than it should be for what you get from it. But again, this is about how smuggler is the whipping boy. It needs to stop. It has nothing to do with how the skills are being misused even. It has everything to do with the mentality that has the immediate reaction "fix it? come up with a solution that solves the problem without effecting a working aspect of another profession? screw that! we'll just nerf it. Not like those slice monkeys need feign death to slice..."
Barring that, there's not much you can do.

I doubt it would ever happen, but if Smugglers were to band together and suspend all slicing operations as a protest, maybe something would happen. That's something that would have a big impact in-game, as it's the only Smuggler service that everyone wants. I don't see that happening, though.

To let you Know I run arround with my master Smuggler Tag All the Time Now.. If osmeone ask for a Slice I give them 2 option's.. Pay me 50k per Slice or find someone else.. If they ask Why I charge so much I tell them this is my form of protest.. If they ask protest of WHAT I explain to them about how smuggler is Bugged and not Working and let them think of that.. If I don't Slice their Gear I don't Complain I make my money from selling Resources anyway..
