Well first off im a Creature Handler, and as you know we're getting hit hard as well. After i read what there doing i thought, well at least i have my Probot to help out... Now i read about them becoming useless.

This is pretty bad, there punishing everyone for there Mistakes. My best pet is a Giant Peko, combined with my Pro Bot and a lot of Stim Packs i hunt alone in Naboo.

I Don't have 3 Rancors, i Never Bought a Creature, I don't stomp around town with Earth Shaking Beasts, I don't solo "ANY CREATURE" in the game with my Probot but now my character is useless, unless i want to hunt Chuba's all day. My probot would be killed by a kaduu now, and my best pet will be a Hermit Spider i bet.

It's really bad that people who did nothing wrong are punished for a bunch of 12 year old powergamers who expoited bugs that should have been fixed in beta.

I can see how probots and creature pets are insanely powerful. But they better back up their word and drop down how tough creatures and NPCS are. Try doing a faction mission with two people and no bots or creatures tanking.

Okay, I would just like to say that I've been sifting through these boards for a little while now. As a Rifleman, I've been looking for a way to compesnate for the fact that if anything closes to 15 meters I die instantly. I don't want to become a Pistoleer, I don't have enough spare points to do something like Bounty Hunter or Commando, so I thought, "Gee, I played a Carbineer in Beta, some of their moves sound cool, and I always did have an obcession with Boba's EE3. Maybe I should pick up a few trees of Carbineer."

Then I read what you guys have to deal with.

*sobs*

Riflemen and Carbineers are kind of like the Broken Brothers of Ranged Fighting.

*group hug*

I feel your pain. The EE3 "shotgun" effect doesn't work. Your Elite Carbine (and what kind of lame name is that, it sounds like a placeholder they never fixed) seems to be, well, kinda gimped. Recent changes have made half of your moves 30-second-timer skill point sinks. . . and you guys got, by far, the vaguest description of how your issues are going to be fixed in the recent Dev post.

Incidentally, when a SQUAD LEADER says that your class needs some correcting, that's saying a lot.

I think I am going to take up some Carbineer anyhow (Masochist, see tag) on the same ridiculous notion I am taking up Rifleman. "They're going to fix it soon." We need a support group or something.

*steps up to the podium*

Hi, my name is Aden. . . and I'm a Carbineer-in-training.

Aden, I too am in process of switching from rifle to a carbine. I miss being able to hit the mind, but its just so nice to be able to hit things when they run close! Although I will still keep my rifle, it works well in 1v1 almost. =) Anyways, I hear ya!

Oh, I am not giving up Rifleman entirely. I just realize the inherent shortcomings of Rifleman, and since the Devs don't feel the need to augment me with some useful skills for anything under 40 meters, I shall select them myself.

And Boba Fett used an EE-3. The E-11 was manufactured specificly for the Empire, and is the blaster used by poorly-aiming Stormtroopers across the galaxy. I was actually very pleased to see that they made the EE-3 the "shotgun" of SWG. . . now if only that "shotgun" effect worked. Heh.

I can't even imagine what you guys go through. One of our longest playing citizens who has been a master smuggler since day 1. He has finally had enough and left the game. This is so sad. He had 4 characters and his wife also had 2 characters. When he explained to me that he has just waited too long. There is no content in JTL for smugglers given that reverse engineering was given to shipwrights. That there really is nothing to smuggle. Becoming a jedi is something that he is not interested in. I can't blame him. He stuck it out for too long in my opinion. All he wanted as i am sure you guys want is a working profession.

Just a rant because i am upset that he and his wife are leaving. Sony get it together.

You say he had 4 characters and his wife had 2... Were all of those Smugglers?

Sounds like he had more issues with the game than just the lack of Smuggler content....

Evarn Terallis - Master Smuggler on Kettemoor

There are missions in which you "deliver an item while hostiles attack you" in every profession. I still don't consider [Smuggler's Alliance] pilots to be Smugglers, nor 'Smuggling' - at least not any more than Rebel Pilots or Imperial Pilots might sometimes "smuggle", with a lower-case s - JFreeman - 10/6/04

No only one was a smuggler but that was his first character and first profession. That was the reason he wanted to play SWG in the first place.

That's becoming a recurring theme I think, although it's been going on for 6 months or more. It's strange to play in a "Star-Wars" where Jedi outnumber us 10 to 1.
