It also kills you in 4 uses, which is about how many shots it takes to actually get the blind/stun.

FAS2 isn't that bad. If the dizzy worked it would be a great combo with our KD/PC moves...

...that is, if mobs actually were affected by dizzy. Anyone else here notice that when you successfully dizzy a mob, say like with a pet's special move, since FA is broke, even if you successfully charge shot them afterwards, they still seem perfectly capable of doing a fine rubber ball impression?

FullAutoSingle2 works great in a support capacity. ie. You aren't taking the brunt of the damage. With a laser carbine at ideal range (50m) i can usually land a blind and stun within 2 shots. Those stats have saved my groupmates much skin.

However, the HAM costs can be very high if your secondary stats and carbine HAM costs aren't ideal.

Burst shot > FAS2 just my opinion, the ham is lower and the damage is higher, unsure on speed modifier though.

I've used it a few times since I first got burst shot.. Cripple shot is my sweetheart now. Fullautosingle is very fast though.. just, very high drain...

btw, off topic, but has anyone noticed how the ham drain on our knockdown drastically decreased? or am I wrong..

Listen,

it is my opinion that people who complain about HAM costs just dont know what they are doing. sorry, im not going to fall in line and characterize carbine as broken. Buy yourself some tatooine sunburn, some stim b's, and weapon powerups and even the elite carbine works fine. my weapon is like 140-250. I didnt get this carbine custom made at a weaponsmith its just something i found on one of those low price vendors that the rest of us, the average gamer, finds so darned convenient, since it is hard to keep track of master artisans due to burnout. I found it wandering around some place outside of coronet and on starsider there are great weapon powerups right on lok sold for dirt cheap in one of the grandfathered buildings there.

alls im saying is that the HAM argument is irrelevent. pay for doctor buffs. support your local chef. the whole point of the game is to rely on everyone else as much as possible. its raph koster's "I learned from UO" game and while it is buggy now by the time the space expansion rolls out this game is gonna be the best there ever was. its not meant to be played for 8 hours a day and mastering professions quickly, all the dev interviews say that SWG is coded for the casual gamer, and for us, there is lots left to see and we dont see a reason to complain. play the game for what it will be, which will be the deepest star wars rpg experience available by the space expansion. just play half life 2 or something else, take long breaks from SWG ( run harvestors and sell resources on a capitol cities bazaar, great money for not logging on) and go get some fresh air. and when you do play, make the most of what you got by building close bonds with others who make you stronger. its that simple. im not a noob, i just think different from the "community" (hence why i do not belong to a guild and why im a bounty hunter offering time overt for whatever faction wants to pay me) and its not an insult to them, its just a different way of looking at things.

oh ya, and laser carbines? please. the AP is not worth the damage variance, especially if you dont use pets. the HAM on an elite is still way better than the chance of no damage shots you get with a laser. it is inferior to both the DXRX and the Elite.

Cool, you on Starsider as a BH? Let me know if you need tips / training whatever, I'm 1/3/4/3 atm with full pistol line, medic and some CH. Gonna be master BH with novice carbine, novice medic, and novice pistol + melee defense 1. I'll see how that goes for a bit and change around. Carbines are a fun change after master pistoleer / expert BH. By the time I'm bored with BH I'll probably be maxed on carbine skills and switch over and finish Master Carbineer. I think the class is pretty neat.

The median damage of the laser carbine is higher than either the dxr6 or especially the elite. Meaning, the chance of doing more damage per shot is almost certain.

Complaining about HAM costs has nothing to do with being lazy and not wanting to do our part to make sure we work properly or whatever. The complaint is, that under the exact same circumstances, other ranged classes do not have the HAM problem. It is obviously imbalanced.
