Thread: Is Counter attack working better?

Any else notice this? I was dueling and pvp'ing last night and I was counter attacking like a fool, well more so thanI can remember.I'm only at 105.

Perhaps that is where all of mine went


Yesterday, I rarely counterattacked, and I am capped.

In my defense, firehawk, I did read all of the sticky posts before posting that I was hoping to find out how it was supposed to work, since I know that it's broken right now.

I was wonder the same thing yesterday. I got into a 1 vs 3 situation last night (2 Rifleman/CM, and Eyeshotting BH/Pistolleer)


Now, I did eat some defense foods, 2 brandys, a muon, and a sythnsteak....even then I didn't expect to survive, but I figured I might be able to kill one of them.


I took out the first Cm/riflemen with Firekd, and scatter2 while the CM and Bh were attacking my mind. I lucked out the other CM healed the first guys mind, and was painfully low on mind...so I scatter2'd him....I figured I wouldn't get to the incapp'ed body in time to db him....but I did.


At this point my mind has been poisoned all the way to the bottom....I kept up the fight with the eyeshotter, and hit kept firing eyeshot to me for about 30 secs...not one hit me.


This was a very surreal fight for me, as I practically give up hope midway through the battle when the mind poison was ticking away.


I looked back in my combat que, and saw more counterattacks then I had ever seen before....I had some very lucky rolls that night.

Spent time specifically testing this about 2 weeks ago.....


I thought the same thing and contacted Nova, who directed me to the testing method he used.....absolutely no change....



That was the same testing where Master Pistoleer was Dodging more than double the Counterattacking of a Master Carbineer.....

Does counter-attack dodge the move and fire back? Or take damage and fire back?

No conclusive answer on that one, IMO. Most everybody says it only "dodges". But I think Dodge/Block cost one attack round whereas Counterattack does not....hence you don't "see" Counterattacking like Dodge.


But my idea is just a theory that I haven't bothered to test....



And does it really matter (you can't change Counterattack so deal with it), the game is how the game is.....sh!tty.....and while the Devs have killed all hope, I am back playing Civ 3

why read those when we can get the answers in nice big yellow text


hey is it carbinear or carbineer?


What does counterattack do?


Whats the best way to grind carbinear?


what does fullauto do? why cant I dizzy and KD in one hit like TK can?


who's the correspondent?


why dont carbinears get any defenses?

Now that Im no longer pistoleer Id hate to damage that 30 million credit suit and 1 million credit carbine that actually makes your prof playable I may have to blow through an entire set of VKs to punch enough though to get past kinetic resists
