Ok, last night i had this Elite Carbine crafted and now comes the task of having it sliced. Remember that I intend to use this weapon for hunting Jedi (if they have no PSG otherwise I'll switch to Czerka) and I'm wanting to know what you believe to be the most effective slice for this.

You're 5 points from the damage cap on the elite, and already over the slicing cap, so it comes down to speed or critical hit. I would no matter which you choose, slice it all the way, don't mix and match.

I find myself leaning closer towards the +Critical+ slice. The reason for this being that a speed slice would have me shooint REALLY fast and I would most likely drain my action quickly with or without a SAC powerup. My intentions are to use a damage powerup and I believe that coupled with a +Critical+ now and then I should be able to do some substantial damage to a Jedi.

Actually, I would go for speed if you hunt jedi. You need to out damage their heals. Critical slices only add a smallchance to do 20% more damage, someone did the math and it turns out it really only increases damage by 2.5% overall.

Ok, so that's 1 for Critical and 1 for Speed. They both sound so good. I believe I can actually hit the weapon speed cap for an Elite Carbine if I get a full speed slice on it too.

2.21 * .12 = 0.2652

Rounded that equals .27

2.21-.27 = 1.94

Isn't the speed cap on carbines 1.95?

Mommy I want me one of those!

A note about the specials btw. I know hunting jedi takes tactics and good use of specials, but I think you'll find that for situations where you strictly need to deal damage that it's quicker to alternate placed shot / ranged shot. If you can work that into your strategy it will help with the use of action.

I'd deffinatly go for speed with a SAC Capped Carbine like that(I have one exactly like this), mine is Speed Sliced all the way, and with +25 Carbine Speed my modified speed is .75, you can fir off attacks very very fast, and what I mean by very very fast is 1 Special a Second, I've been doing Torso shot one second then Leg Hit another second and I can take out Normys pretty fast.

It depends on how you want to pup it to be honest.

If you use dmg pups go with critical slice {this will allow you to gain even more on the 20 % and with speed higher from both 0 slice and dmg pups, you can fire specials with 73 sacand not have to worry(just put a few rangedshots in there). ....this would be my choice}

If you use sac pups go with speed slice {if using sac it means your firing specials back to back... speed slice is the way to go here so you can fire faster}

if you use speed pups go with critical slice { if you use a speed pupyou are going to be under 1 regardless of slice for speed (considering you have good 32-34% speed pups).. with this you are firing very fast and the critical hits will fill you screen.

What's your template though? Mine is MBH/MCM/Carbineerx4xx so I doubt I have as high natural speed as you. What is your character sheet's carbine speed?

This surprises me too... I am MBH MCM Carb x4xx with +9 speed from FS and +25 in carb spd and +25 in general ranged speed tapes ...

My carbs speed is 1.87 and my modified is only 1.1

To me it sounds like you need to have speed pups too to get that .75 you say you have

I had this made for me a few days ago,
E11 had it speed sliced and added damage pup and I hit for over 1k every shot PVE (also use sac pups when fighting jedi - take the sac to around 54), I would say speed slice all the way and add either damage or sac pups depending on what your fighting.
