Thread: A dumb question about banks

If I join a new bank, does all the stuff in my bank box automatically move over? Its not all going to go *poof* is it?
I just want to make sure before I do something dumb.
I should really know this already considering how much time I've put into the game. I guess it goes to show you always have stuff to learn.

{note: preface all statements with "I'm pretty sure..."}
You cannot join a bank if you have already joined a bank on another planet.
You cannot quit a bank if you have items in your safety deposit box.
So to switch planetary banks, you'd have to first empty the deposit box, quit the bank, join the bank on the new planet, then put your items into it.
Unless you've already made up your 8 characters, you could probably test this out by making a character on a new server, join a bank, put a few items in it, then try joining another bank to see what happens. Maybe they do transfer your items...

Smart idea, why didnt I think of that. I'll test it out with my noob melon and report back here.

You guys were right. you have to quit a bank before you can join a new one. In order to quit you must empty your bank box.
I thought way back in the days in '03 you could jump from bank to bank and it transfered your stuff for you? Maybe I am way out to lunch on that one.

I believe you can only have 1 bank account open at a given time. Therefore, you must empty your existing safety deposit box before you are able to open another.
No chance of going poof, but you may need to find some temporary storage during the transfer. A couple trusted friends should do the trick...

I wish you could access your safety-deposit box from any planet.
