Thread: Export Email outside of SWG?

I have been running a bunch of Google searches in regfard to being able to export SWG email into some other outside app.
In my case I want to get my vendor sales emails out of SWG, into a .CSV file and loaded up into Excel so I can track my sales properly, and maintain a database of who my top customers are.
However, all I can find are tidbits that allude to being aboe to export email but nothing that actually says how or what I need to do so.
If anyone knows how to accomplish this, please post or PM me.

There is actually a program that was written to control and monitor sales. Was called "Merchant's Friend". I'm sure if you do a search for it on the merchant forum, the post listing where to get it from will pop up.
Been using that program for about 8 months now, it's really sleek

Oh and Merchants Friend does have an option to export to CSV if you want that. But the app itself is great alone.

For some reason My merchant's friend keeps giving me an error saying some attribute (can't remember which) is too long.

Go into your mail folder
C:\ProgramFiles\StarWarsGalaxies\profiles\YourProfile\YourServer\mail_CharacterName
sort the mails by size, and delete any mails over 1kb. Then try again.

When I run /mailsave nothign happens. Should I just delete all my mail and start again? I am getting bad lag every time I open my mail. Thing is I never delete anything.....

Might just have to wait a while. I have about 800 mails, and it takes a good 10 minutes or so to do a mailsave before the completed message shows up on my spatial.

i'm talking about several thousabd mails. When I did my first mailsave I crashed halfway through and i've never been able to do one since. I've even wiped my comp and reinstalled SWG....

Several housand? Jeez...you are example of what /mailsave is for. Prune some of that mail out then try and /mailsave again, then DELETE all the mail from in game and get into the habit of doing /mailsave once a week (or at least once a month)
SWG is not MS Exchange. Keeping several thousand emails is not a reasonable expectation of the game.

My Inbox currently has 2 emails in it. One is an advertisement for a Cantina I run that I keep so I can forward it to others if they are interested. The other one is a City announcement from the Mayor/Founder that I am thinking about deleting...
I am not suprised your game is laggy if you have thousands of emails. I will have to play with the /mailsave command. I went looking in my profiles folders and didn't see any mail files there at all.
