Thread: Is there really that much money in selling swoops?
Hell yeah it's possible!
Many vehicles are blown up each day and people have to get new ones.
The NPC's seem to be targeting vehicles a lot more now then they used to Pre CU. I've gone through a crate of swoops on Dath. The money is there.
If you really want to make some money, find some high cond. Metal (copper is the best) and make Power Ups. Even at 1k-2k a piece you are making a hefty profit. On my server if I sell them at 2k a piece, 3 crates just paid the 50k it cost to buy my factory, and powered and maintained my harverster (you only need small harvesters which you can make yourself if you can make PUps).

Hi all!
I heard someone that made 400k daily on sellling swoops? Is it really possible?
He was most likely talking about money in an not actual profit although mining the ore yourself pretty much all of it would be profit (done right harvesting minerals should be costing you less than 0.2 credits a unit). at 15k credits a swoop that would only be 25 swoops a day which should be easily sold in a high traffic market. Especially if you are selling by the crate which some people are starting to ask for now who frequent the higher level adventure planets. I hear of people loosing swoop after swoop but I myself have lost 2 maybe 3 since CU..... Camo is a wonderful thing...

100K is more likely. You need to undercut the competition. Also you need to remember a swoop take something like 8800 resources. So if you sell it for 10 or 12K to make fast sales how much are you really making. If you run a operation like Walmart, on a large scale you can make the money. Most resources take power and rent. As well as moving them around at a 1500 to 3000 loss each move. Does it add up in the long run, YES. Is it easy money - NO.
well you're right but to sell 20 in like under 6 hours (i did that yesterday) i needed a price like 15k. But as you say the only problem is the resources! i have all my mining stations up running now but the big problem is still that they are to slow to make resources for 25 swoops a day. but well 10 swoops per day is good to ![]()
There is never any need to under cut or over charge your customers. As long as you have a fair price on your items, and well stocked you will get business, and it will increase over time. It doesnt matter if your on Rori, Talus or some of the more popular planets.
If you try to under cut the competetion, you will lose money in the long hual and will probably deceide its not worth doing. If you over price, no one will buyand your stock will just sit, and you will deceide its not worth it.
Just stick with it and you will get the business and in most cases you will get the customer for life. Just keep the vendor stocked and priced fairly.

As I have said before... I'm a number cruncher... Crunch the numbers mining your own resources and power even on a 70% concentration of resource with a BER13 mineral harvester it should be costing you no more than 0.2 credits per unit mined, usually less. so for 8800 units to make a swoop it has cost you 8800 * 0.02 = 1760 credits... now turning around and selling them for 15000 credit you make 13240 credits per swoop sold... 331000 for 25 swoops... The main problem here is going to be mining enough minerals to make that many swoops a day... I myself usually just set one harvestor on a resource that has high SR but I can't really use otherwise and let it go so I don't stock that many swoops because I have other business concerns such as Armor and Weapons...
and i do make a profit at that price
they are not 90% whatever, just a cheap bike ot use till it gets shot. i sell em as 'Night Sister Bait Swoop'
