Thread: Looking for resources in the Bazaar... I want some improvements

I wish the resource listings on the Bazaar / Vendor Search would show the resource type before the class. For example, you would see "Titanium Aluminum" instead of simply "Aluminum".

This would save me several hours every day, because that's how much time I spend looking for specific resources. Has this idea been suggested before? Do you think there's any chance it could get implemented?

If they can just fix the rest of it (it may be, but some resources still just show as type and nothing else), specific resource names are probably fairly good ... then just find out some good spawns and search for those names.

As that part has been fixed if the people would just relist their resources on the vendor all would show up fine. Everyone is putting up lots of crap resources now they don't care what the stats are on them and it is a waste of time having to sift throught them to find the ones we want... We need a way to search by specific type - like Naboo Fiberplast not just fiberplast... and perhap even by stats...

For resources, price per cpu would be nice. I often buy grind resources, and of course for thoseI don't care what the stats are, it's the price that matters.

Overall, a better classification system is probably the most urgent need. Classification evidently is derived from the item type hierarchy, not from an analysis of user requirements.

My biggest gripe about resource shopping is when I'm shopping for Aluminum, I have to sift thru all of the Minerals (Steel, Ore, etc) just to find Aluminum. If they could at least allow me to search Aluminum only, I'd be a happy camper.

FYI... If the resource doesn't show resource name in the title, I ignore it. It's the sellers fault for not relisting it.

someone please tell me how... I click Resource Container > Inorganic Minerals and that's it. No other sub menus. Is this a bug?

We are talking about the bazzar here right? right under the tree where you picked Resource Container>Inorganic Mineral is a filter area for key words. There is even a min/max bid filter.

You type "Aluminium" in the search and have "Inorganic Minerals" Selected, then it will search for all of the Aluminium in that category, I agree though that looking for more specific kinds of Resources would be great. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal either, they had a breakdown for all of the resources in the free crate of resources, why can't they have a breakdown for the bazaar?

Not that I am not thankful enough already for what I have though

Well as of last night the word seach filter was not functioning as far as I could tell and from many other posts I have seen.

I just stretch the bazaarwindow so I can see the mineral type and name...sort by mineral type and scroll through each block of names...and mouse over one of each...

select from resources where type like '%titanium%'

or something like that. I don't know database querying that well.

Bladius - The keyword search is working just fine. However, you must search for something that is displayed on the page. If there is a Dolovite Iron named Ukelebakate on the bazaar (or vendor), you can find it by using either the iron keyword, or ukelebakate. What you cannot do is search for dolovite since that is not displayed in the listing.

Give it a try, you will find you are searching through far fewer pages if you are just looking at the aluminums...
