I want to make this post out for all players taht are having problems getting started and up and running finacually. I would like everyone to add any tips or tricks on getting started.

Please rember you have nothing at all entering this game. You arent any good at your skills (you can get better fairly easyily though), they dont have any composite armor, and most of all probably cant afford buffs.

Add any coments that you might have to get soemone started out on there way.

Now everyone has gotten started and has 100-200k under their belt, how do they move on to there sorce of income and waht they are going to be? How do they get into there own freedom and have a larger bank account to help otu others and use what they have earned?

This is for everyone out there like me who has learned the hard way and has borrowed millions upon millions of credits a few 100 thousand at a time just to waste it on something not even worth the money.

These days I would say the best way for new player to earn creds is to get scout and harvest meats. Either avian or herbivore can be sold to docs for very high rates if they are good quality. And several of the animals that drop this are weak creatures like rasps which even new players can handle.

We all live in the Galaxy to pursue a dream, whether it be tedious like the path of a jedi, or a multi-million credit corperation of Clothing lines or brand name rifles. The galaxy can be very taunting for newer players coming into the game. here are a few, easy ways to get some money coming in:

1.) Pick up Scout and sell meats.

The amount of pay you get depends on how much meat you grind. Lokian Avian meat is worth a lot, so get shooting at those Perlecks when you level up high enough. However you are going to need to find a player willing to buy the meat you have collected. Use every source possible to get it done. Advertise it in major ports, but don't get over excessive with spam. Try the auction chat channel, or even better your Galaxy's trade forums. Sooner or later someone will want to buy it. If not, pick up where you left off and try another tip.

2.) Mission Terminals

There is a reason for their existence: You destroy or deliver something: you get pay. Your pay depends upon the skills you have, mission payouts can range from 700-10,000 credits a mission. It is a little bit more difficult to get mass amounts of credits grinding endless missions, thanks to the Solo-Group nerf a few patches ago. Grouping up with other players increases your payout, and increases the number of missions you get.

3.) Component Selling and Dealing

This is for the folks who have Jump to Lightspeed: The Expansion. While you grind in space, and you don't need the looted components, sell them! A Shipwright will more than likely want to buy them to Reverse Engineer, make a better part out of the one you gave him/her, and sell it back onto the market. You also loot credit chips. A huge way to get a large amount of money is to seek out Ace or Master Pilots with Multiplayer ships. Some, like myself offer a program where each gunner will get pay for gunning for me. I would after the run sell the loot, and distribute appropriate pay depending on how much you loot, gun down, etc, and how long you are yp there, on average you can make about 200k in total loot in an hour's run, if the pilot knows the hot-pots.

_______The Number 1 trick rich folk use in getting a fresh boost of credits: Rare Loot Selling.______

Simple items like the Blue Star Painting, Krayt Skull, and Endor Moon painting are very easy to get, and they sell anywhere from 500k-2 million credits, depending on the buyer. Again read publish notes and the forums to learn about what's hot. Sell any loot that is no good use to you, and profit from it.

one tip for new-commers is to be sure to do the starter droid missions. Maybe even pick up some other basic professions and do those starter droid missions. The start droids do give you a decent shot in the financial arm.

Starter droid missions and tier 1 JTL missions. I made enough money in components going to the chassis dealer and from credit chip and mission rewards to have my tier II ship and enough to deck it out on a new toon in a matter of hours while Starsider was down one day.

I tell noobs to check out the trade forums on this website (its truly an under-rated asset to know about), you always see doctors and chefs buying meat, and Armorsmiths buying hides and bones.

You could make a lot of money just being a resource gatherer.

fora new player my recommendation would be:

A) Get artisan, do your survey, build harvesters or find a cheap offer on the bazaar, start to harvest and sell it on the bazaar, generaly power always sells, that could be a quick 100K there.

B) Get scout and a combat profession - find a player city with "Improved Jobmarked" use their mission terminals since the payout will be increased but the level is still low.

Grind enough missions to buy 8-10BER 4personal harvestors. Place them, sell the resources on the bazaar for 2-5 cpu (depending on quality...you can do some research at SWGCraft.com to find out what's good in a resource). Buy your power for 2 cpu on the bazaar, or use a couple lots to generate your own power (I recomend buying the power if you can afford to...you'll get a better return using your land lots to harvest sellable resources than you wouldfrom generating your own power).

As your bank account grows, invest some of that money into upgrading to 10 BER medium harvestors. Then eventually you can upgrade to 13 BER heavies, if you want to. By this point though, you may be making all the money you really need, and then some.

The best thing about harvestors is they work for you while you're offline. And even when you're online, they work for you while you do other things. So you can harvest resources, and still harvest meat/hides to sell, or grind missions, or whatever. It only takes a couple hours a week to move, maintain and sell the resources.

Imo, resource harvesting is by far the easiest way to make money in SWG.

Join a guild. Guilds will often help out a new player with some free hand me down items. Your guildmates are potential partners and customers for any money making venture. And you'll get good advice from your guildmates.

^^^^^^^^^^ Join a guild - if new players are not sure about guilds - ask and you dont have to be there forever. Guilds will help establish players often by paying for house maintanance costs giving grinding weapons for free - buffs for free and crafting wise often guilds are short of certain profs such as smugglers for spice and slice - bio engineers - ARCHITECTS (a big one nowadays)

- chefs - etc.

A very good way to develop your character learn the game and once you know the ins and out you know what is worth money and what is not

Another good point about guilds is they often have lots of crafters requesting different components and if you have a guildee buyee then you are guarenteed a constant buyer and not have to DEL BOY it.
