lol..well..nice to hear
swg staff can do a credit rollback in such that
1 mil credits rolls back to 100k and 100k to 10k, thus balancing things out... but they also must adjust housing revenues and harvester costs appropiately.

Hi, I play on the server Corbantis, and I thought that it would be good to show you what the Corbantis economy is like right now, for those of you who are, obviously, not on Corbantis:
The economy of Corbantis is in no way flawed. However, it is exploited. We on this server are just getting over a major hyperinflation of every product and item in the game. The prices on Corbantis are just settling back to normal. Here is an example: when I started playing on Corbantis in September 2004, a formal shirt cost 4000 credits. Now you can buy one for 100 credits, tops.
The hyperinflation was caused, mostly, by players who began charging exorbitant rates for services and items. Other players raised their costs too, and then the economy took pockmarks. Items became hard to find, and almost any large auction or trade gave ramifications to the economy. Something like 12 billion or trillion, I don't remember which, credits were removed from Corbantis during one of the inactive-character purges in October. This greatly helped the economy. Things are settling back down again, and Corbantis owes this recovery, in part, to other galaxies. Many crafters began using the rates that crafters on servers like Bria and Ahazi were charging to compete Gamewise, and others lowered their prices too.
The credit is beginning to regain its value again, but all can not be right on Corbantis since so many players have millions and billions of credits. If Bill Gates was transported to Corbantis and $1 USD = 1 credit, he would be middle-class at best.
How are the economies of the other servers? It would be interesting to see if Corbantis is alone in the hyperinflation, or if other servers experienced this too.
