Ok.. I know what I just posted in another post. but this just came to me...

Using this on a targeted player will force them into afk mode. If you have "Showchat from AFK players" Off.. you no longer see the spam. And YOU control if you see it or not by Switching that option on and off..

this will never happen, ever think about using this command in combat?

you're going to have to be a little more creative than that, think things through more please. It lookslike you're new and that's ok, nothing wrong with it, but you're gonna go up against people that have been here far longer and will flame you to death if you're not careful with what you say. i agree that spam is dumb, but as it stands right now we need to find alternatives for it rather than just getting rid of it. spamming does make sales... a lot more than you think, especially for the player who doesn't have 3 hours to go vendor hopping.

I don't see what using this on somone in combat would do, I see people who are (AFK) and in Combat all the time. Please Clarify.. You are right I am farly new. 'Ive only been playing 72 days and have only mastered 5 professions.

Thats fine they can flame all they want. I dont give a rats butt.. What I do care about is people who discuss things rationally and explain there position and can give real reasons why somonething wont work.

well i'm not exactly sure how it would act in combat... are you? maybe it would lag the player, maybe it'd mess up their combat queue, you don't know... that's the point. but i do know if i was trying to have a conversation with somoene and all of a sudden someone afk'ed me and my away message was up and they're getting afk responses even though i'm not afk, and i'd be pretty upset that i didn't even do anything. and i can't talk to people while i'm afk and some of my doctor macros wont work i'd be pretty p!ssed off. congratulations you've mastered 5 professions, that doesn't mean that you know them through and through, you may... I mean, you can master shipwright in an hour if you have the resources, but that doesn't mean you know what you're doing.
