Spamming in a crouded area according to soe policy is a form of player abuse and harassment. Its against the terms of conduct. So If you really hate spammers just get your friends all together and report the guy spamming infront of the starport. Thus generateing lag.
It also states that it dosent matter if its intentional or not. You want to stop spammers start reporting them through harassment.

Apparently its considered spam only if the message is repeated more often than 30 seconds, but that still leaves hundreds open for brutal bannination

I think there should be a limit where if you say the exact samething in a row or in amount of time then it should auto drop you making you have to come back and log on again.

No One Cares!
/addignore has been in the game since Beta, USE IT & Abuse it.
Why does it have to be personal, You call it spam "They" call itadvertising and it works for them & for me. Quit whining about the smallest issues in the game because I dont feel my money should be wasted to please the anti-spammer, anti-jedi & anti-recursive macro crowds!

i have actually bought goods from vendors that have been spammed. and i am a merchant and have a droid that will spam for me. although i think that they need to allow us merchants to have more than 1 droid out at a time and stay in different locations without auto storing. i would like to advertise on more than one planet.

My thoughts exactly : it works. So people keep doing it, plain and simple. the barker droids (one sentence a minute) are good, but only available for higher level merchants.
Only a SMALL faction of people use ignore.
If everyone would advertising one line per minute (what I do), that would be great. Now people spam like 3-4-5 lines, sometimes every 20 seconds.

Some people don't want to put the effort in to run a business without spamming, let them be it increases their gameplay fun. Just/addignore them.

I find the droids are fine as they are at least believable but for someone to sit there afk and spam..I have a screenshot where I couldnt see anything past coronet spaceport due to text
Its not so much I dont like it as it is stupid, maybe they should make droids more available to people. I purposely never check any afk spammers goods, same as unless there is no choice I wont watch an afk entertainer.
