The simplest ideas are always the best. As adroid engineer and shipwright, I havea shop and vendors. However, much of my business is custom orders.At the moment, I have a bone armor segment hanging on the wall of my shop near the door informing shoppers, "Customer orders can be mailed to Soontir". It isn't pretty, but it does the trick. I would love to be able to craft custom signs or posters that I can hang in my shop for the same purpose. Nothing fancy. Just a piece of flimsiplast with some custom text on it. Maybe they'll even let me pick the color of the text and the background. And if I'm a good boy, they'll even let me pick the font.

I agree,...so much info I want to put out to my customers, yet all I have to advert with is bone armor segments or droid chassis

Yes, I to am very much for this, would love to let everyone know that they are free to use the equipment in my home and to email me for suggestions.....

Hmmm...I guess we need a way to hang such a sign on the outside of one's house
That might be harder to get the devs to implement.

I've been thinking of a similar thing for weeks now. But how about outdoor billboards also? They work in real life....and this could give rise to advertising companies who rent out billboard space. They're not THAT much of an eye-sore....we're used to them. And we saw advertisements, huge ones, on Coruscant in the movies, so it's not a breach of canon.
BTW, player spam bots are going away with the elimination of recursive macros and AFK actions.

Fantastic idea, would love to see this implemented. Although they would HAVE to be restricted to inside homes. Im not sure i could handle anymore of a eye-stinging blight on the landscape then we currently have with harvestors, factories, houses, spam bots, and player spam bots.

Okay how about there would be predesignated billboards in the NPC cities that would 'show' the advertisement for a weekly fee, cycling thru different ones from various players. That way we dont further crud up the landscape and it would help the NPC cities be useful again.
