Greetings, this is a note for architects & droid engineers both, but deserves mention here in the business & economy section.
I have noted by several experiments on my server that a Droid crafting station functions as a flawless crafting station, where as a crafting station in a house is tied to the ability of the Architect.
I have three problems with this:
- It does not cost anything near the amount of materials for a DE to put a crafting station into a bot vs. create a home crafting station.
- These stations in droids are flawless, and can be used anywhere.
- is completely inconsistant with logic.
People might ask why I pick on such a trivial issue. plain and simple, it shows lack of full planning when it came to crafting stations.
For the sake of architects (who are screwed on repeat business) please make the crafting station requirement for a DE's robots, be an actual crafting station.
Then for the sake of consistancy, make it 0.00 private crafting station.
If you've noted the same things I have please feel free to post.
If you disagree with what I've said, I'd love to hear your point of view, and if you agree. I'd still love to hear your point of view.

1. True, the initial cost is low, but there is a constant on going cost for use, in batteries. Not as much as the initial outlay for a private station, but it mounts up
The cost of house maintenance is moot, since even with a droid, you will have a house for resource storage.
2. Can't quite be used anywhere - but I get your point.
However, they're not flawless. They've been found to have an apparant rating of around 30 (according to the droid 101 guide on the DE forum)
3. Not sure about how to say on this one...
as for repeat business? I have an R2 with a Weapon crafting station and a clothing crafting station.
I also have a 44(ish) rated station of these 2 within my workshop.
I also have a number of factories.
A droid is useful for on the fly crafting sessions ("excuse me, can you make me a...?") without the need to fly back to my housed stations.
As crafters, we're still reliant on quite a few architect products:
harvestors, houses, factories, maybe furniture if we want to have a shop front.

One minor note to add, while we're talking about crafting stations.
Architect-made stations use general crafting experimentation, NOT structure experimentation. This has been a long-standing issue with them. That means that in order to get a +44 crafting station, the architect not only has to have the best resources and components they can get, but they also have to be a master artisan (with bonuses if possible).
I haven't looked, but I would imagine this is something that's been on the architect bug list forever.
