somehow to me it doesn't sound like the new updates are going to be as great as everyone thinks they are .... let me explain
When a vendor owner turns on the search option, a player should be able to go to any vendor or bazaarand list all items owned by this vendor
ok... what this tells me is, when you go to say, "Joe's" vendor, you will see all of "Joe's items" in the galaxy... not EVERYONE IN THE GAME's items. if they are at a bazaar terminal, and "Joe" happens to be ACTIVELY selling stuff on the bazaar, you will somehow be able to see his vendor items as well. this to me makes no sense, as i do not understand how it would be possible to vendor listed items to be separate from bazaar listed items on the same screen. perhaps if you were able to click on "see Joe's other items", because at this point we would be talking about 10's of thousands of items, making for hundreds of pages. at the very least this is the most i expect from this new bazaar feature..... you're searching for say, cloaks. you click "clothing" then the corresponding one for cloak (not at home right now), then you see that "Jill" is selling cloaks. Then you will be given the option to browse all of just "Jill's" vendors to see what she has. This is only possible if "Jill" is selling stuff on the bazaar, has other vendors, and you've found her in a search. It's not going to display "all cloaks in the entire galaxy"
based on the screenshot on the info page, it does not look like they have changed anything besides the "entire galaxy" option for when you are on a specific player's vendor. as it stands, the bazaar already HAS an "entire galaxy" option, for all items on the bazaar. i don't see it possible that you will be able to go to "an almighty terminal" and display ALL ITEMS in the ENTIRE GALAXY off of EVERY VENDOR from EVERY PLAYER
am i wrong in what i'm saying here?

You are bringing up the issue of information overload, and lack of organization, which has not been brought up as much as other things in the discussion of this feature. Moreover, you are RIGHT!
The bazaar display typically saturates into an unorganized mess after a few hundred items per category. The big-volume merchants and crafters carry thousands of items on multiple vendors, and even a medium-sized operation carries hundreds. No one could afford to stay off this listing, and it would become a strategy of the big dogs to globally list every item they can, and to relist at frequent intervals, to compete for customers' attention.
I've said on another thread that this needs system analysis and design, and this is yet another reason why.
