Perhaps it's the word PETITION that got the thread locked. Petitions are by and large ignored. I'd suggest trying again with less threatening overtones.
You are right - Garva has refused to reopen the thread and has suggested we open a 'discussion' thread - which is was already in essence. I've asked him to reopen the thread so I can change its title and ask people to no longer post '/sign' and simply post comments on whats suggested......... would be the better solution as there has been a lot of contribution already to the thread.

The idea you have is a sensible one, but you will get more success by taking a more sensible approach:
1. Don't start petitions, the Devs have already said that they consciously ignore them and all petition threads will be locked.
2. The correct way to get serious issues to the Devs is through Correspondents who have a good track record of getting their profession's issues resolved.
3. Avoid emotion and sensationalism - it undermines your argument and annoys people - calling this post 'Silence of Lambs' does your cause no good will just encourage people to flame you.
That aside, I agree with your suggestion and hope that the Merchant and Artisan correspondents pick this up and run with it
1. Taken on the chin - no problem with this.
2. Unfortunatley there is no clear 'correspondent' for this change thus no way to get it to the development team which was stated in my thread.
3. Again taken on the chin with this one - might have been done through frustration on being silenced when the thread was reallly making progress in comments etc.
I WILL be starting a new thread - but as I'm at work right now I guess I should earn my keep ![]()
Cheers

Keep us posted man. Don't understand why they don't like "Petitions" vs. "Discussions" but still hope that in some way we can get them to pay attention to this issue. Perhaps Garva or someone else would be kind enough to point us towards a thread explaining why SOE doesn't like "Petitions"?
Cheers,

In hindsight petitions are used in order to force something to happen which isn't really what we want to do here - we were discussing a way of improving the game for all rather than saying 'Do this now or there will be consequences' as petition generally entails.
I've just got home now so i'll start collating the new thread.

It did, and there are.
