Thread: A few changes for Weaponsmith economy I'd like considered....
1st) Can you please update Power Handlers and Advanced Power Handlers to a larger amount per Crate (say 50 or 100 per crate) and possibly a larger amount for the max on the manufacturing schematic? Maybe increase the overall amount produced by a single schem to 2500-5000 max (and on that note maybe do that for all items increase the schem limit to 2500 so you can fill a factory with crates of 25) This will help a TON with those of us that are too poor to afford alts and have only 10 lots at our disposal, not to mention will make production easier as we wont be forced to run off schem after schem after schem to make a few runs of thea single item that takes multiple items from the same factory crate as a component (especially true with Power Handlers as some weapons take up to 10 per weapon *cough* t21)
2nd) I am EXTREMELY disturbed by by the performance the Devs have allowed on Advanced Vibro Motors. I am more so discouraged today when on Corbantis a 1000 UT copper spawned and in combo with a 997 UT steel I was able to produce a standard, non advanced Vibro motor with a 29 max dmg and a speed of -0.49........ So far on this server the max on Advanced models has been 37 max dmg and the speed is at -0.34!!! This is the ONLY instance of which I see the base model being so very powerfully outstripped in the speed class, and where there is so little of a gap in the max damages. As a longtime weaponsmith in this game I am disturbed greatly by this fact as sales of ANY kind of Pikeman weapon that requires a vibro motor is almost non existent after a person reaches Novice Pikeman. We are EXTREMELY outstripped by the never ending stream of ridiculous pikes that are lootedoff ourlovely Nightsister friends. All other components generally double up on damage once the advanced stage is gained with good resources but these. I also am disturbed by the lack of any sort better enhancers for these. We are limited only to High Powered Vibro Motors (considered most basic comparable to High Velocity Feed Mechanisms and High PoweredEnergy Capacitors) with a +20to max dmg (base) and rarely anything better.Every other weapon in this game has some sort of (for lack of better term) Uber Loot enhancer. Ranged weapons have Krayt Tissues (for Power Handlers) and Gorax Bone Shards (for Feed Mechanisms). Melee has Rancor Teeth (to replace sword cores), Acklay Bone (to replace reinforcement cores), and the Geo Solidifying agent, and yellow geonosian cubes (for Geosword and reinforcement cores that CAN be way above thenorm). All of these listed so far are fairly easy to obtain. The only replacement to a Vibro motor so far has been the severely weak reward from Jabba's Palace, and the MEGA RARE (a few good sets per year I imagine per server, that are above what a smith can make,am I wrong here? only see a few on Corbantis, and I have a pretty good corner on this market)above base Nightsister Vibro motors.
Proposal for change....
1) Increase the theoretical cap on the Unit Toughness for Desh copper to 800 (I believe that’s the cap already on all other coppers except the new copper that was introduced with JTL which is obviously 1000).
2) Add a new loot to the game. Make it drop from Super Battle Droids (or a harder version of these if nec. i.e. Super Mega Battle Droid). Make it an Enhancer for Vibro Motors. Call it whatever (subsonic oscillator, supersonic oscillator, etc, etc, for some name ideas) Give it a decent range to enhance them, let them add to speed and Max damage like all other ones. Or do the same with the SBD's as the source, but make them replacements for vibro motors (kind of follows the theme of melee anyhow where as all uber loot is a replacement rather than an enhancer for the other types of melee).
Well are these a possibility Thunderheart?
Thanks a ton

!!!Rant Warning!!!
You want to fix crafting economy??? how about the part where you cant make anything decent without at least 9 or 10 experimentation points, and nothing that sells extrememely high without a 12 pt. suit? Meaning novices sink all their credits into grinding materials, and then sit clicking for hours to get xp? All without making any money at all? and no fun side stuff they can do that just happens to also give them xp? combat classes can go hunt big stuff, maybe not score as much xp, but have fun doing it! Its that part that made me drop weaponsmith at 1111.
!!!End Rant!!!
Discussing the lack of a market for novice goods is something that would be pertinent to this forum. Discussing how we can make weaponsmith loot components better is something for the Weaponsmith or Loot and Item forums.
