There's an auction going on for +25 Music & Dance Enhancement, current bid is 25+mil

Music & Mind Enhancement = long term __ buff after CURB

(warm up & cool down time reduction, by 20%, could one assume that 1/4 now = 1/4 after CURB = 20->25% buffs from "Masters"?)

These Items could be worth 100 Million, or nothing after the "CURB"

Someone is about to be ripped off, whether it's the seller, or buyer?

In the end the CURB will screw one over, the question is who, and secondly who's fault should it be? Ours or the Design team for releasing details about something that's going to change well ahead of the said changes.

I forgot to mention "Conflit of Intrest" that would apply to everyone testing the new system & (or) works for SOE but plays the game on a "play server" where they keep their identities secret.............

Not knowing how important entertainer or entertainer buffs will be after the CU, I don't think it's fair to say someone is about to be screwed. This is commonly known as speculation. They are willing to pay for it because they expect entertainer buffs will still be useful after the CU.

Well if you had read the cu doc you would see there will be NO entertainer buffs post cu. All ents will do is heal BF.

And if you read the CU Update document closely, you will see that the devs have been working on the conversion process for all items that will be changed with the implementation of the CU. No items will simply disappear or be worthless. Anything that is valuable in the current system will be just as valuable in the new system. I'm guessing the process to make that work would be amazingly time-consuming, so I can definitely understand why the devs are taking so long to get the CU ready.

No one is going to get screwed. If one thinks it's worth the money to purchase something valuable now, they are getting what they paid for.

That was really weird. I got some 404 page in light blue when I tried to submit this post and it ended up doubleposting.

I have simply decided to wait until after the CURB to make any more major purchases.

Which may or may not be a good idea. While we don't have much information, one thing we DO know is that if you have an Exceptional weapon NOW, you will STILL have an Exceptional weapon post CU. DOTs however have not been discussed.. So..

And also not at all true - Allow me to quote from the document:

The profession trees for Entertainers, Musicians, Dancers and Image Designers will be affected by the Combat Upgrade, and will likely need some profession tweaking because of the changes with wounds, stat migration and buffs to the mind. We will make adjustments to entertainers by creating some long lasting, minor buffs for combat professions. The initial changes to these professions will be:

Profession Dancer
Added new dance (Tumble) to Dancing Knowledge I
Added new dance (Tumble2) to Dancing Knowledge II
Added new dance (Breakdance) to Dancing Knowledge III
Added new dance (Breakdance2) to Dancing Knowledge IV
Removed the 15 second delay between stopping one song or dance and starting a new song or dance.
Removed chance of making a mistake while dancing.

Profession Musician

Added new song (Starwars4) to Novice Musician skill box.
Added new song (Funk) to Music Knowledge II.
Removed the 15 second delay between stopping one song or dance and starting a new song or dance.
Profession - Image Designer

Reduced Image Designer skill point costs by 16 by reducing each skill box between Novice Image Designer and Master Image Designer by one point.
Removed Image Designer action timers for Body and Cosmetic changes.

With the way the combat professions are changing, the stuff (such as AA's and CA's) I've purchased might not be usefull. I may decide to go a completely different way profession wise. I'm also uncertain what new abilities will be added and what ones will be removed or diminished in importance. I'm also unsure of how the items I currently own will be altered.

And the new CU Documents say weapons will no longer have DOTs.

  • DoTs: While DoTs, or Damage-Over-Time attacks, will work much the way they did before, weapons with DoTs have been removed.

  • So those purcahsing "Incredible DOT" weapons with other stats only normal, will surely be outraged after having forked over millions for what will become a regular weapon. I know they said if it is "Uber" now, it will be uber after, but alot of peeps have paid dearly just to have the special DOT'd weapons with average or normal stats. It's true, some who speculate on certain items will profit from having done so, but I'll take the prudent route of a "Wait and See" attitude. While I wont make a killing credit wise, after the CU hits, I also dont run the risk of being greatly dissappointed, or down right angered.

    Thanks

Also some of the other threads indicate that weapons and gear will be converted in the CU. It doesn't seem definitive on all attachments including all the broken stat ones from beta, but who knows how some of these attachments might be converted as.
