Worse, SOE can track the credits out there ... but did they think to look at active/inactive?

With so many people quitting how many credits out there are not getting circulated into the economy??(I know some are being gifted out but not all)
Especially if its someone with hundereds of millions of credits and probably more in property (loot, items, harvestors, etc.)
I know SOE has software that tracks the economies of each server does anyone know if its public access??
It would be an interesting study to watch a virtual economy as it flounders for survival.
Yes this came to mind with Aircartman(server renowned AS on flurry)announcing his depature from SWG-CU, and then seeing what he is asking for his clearance sale makes me ask what happens if all those credits go with him?
Along with that if SWG does survive the CU purge what are the long term affects of the changes.
Focus of looted weapons being better than what is crafted. Bio-linking armor and weapons making them one person use (pretty much making it worthless monitarly once they have been linked.)
Making a large amount of the new weapons quest rewards or loots instead of craftable schems.
Isolating non-elite prof's from being able to wear armor.
Nerfing the primary means of income for doctors and entertainers.
After the intial rush for the new armor and limited new weapons. What happens to the people who make their credits gathering resources(organic and non-organic)?
Will the economy survive??? If the economy crashes will it also be the death of SWG???

The devs are basically cutting the economy out of the equation. You can get everything you want in quests and the new combat system makes armor more decorative than useful, high end wepons and ships are quest rewards. Getting ready to move to XBox and its pimply-faced players is way more important.

I can promise you that the economy will survive because:
- A lot ofpeople don't have ADK's to put on those high end weapons, so they will still be buying crafted weapons so they can save the special weapons for when they need to use them.
- Armor not useful? Are you fighting mobs far below your level or are you a TKM or Jedi Defender? Trust me, if you are fighting mobs at or above your level, armor is very much needed.
- Someone else metioned JTL ships. Unless you have a guild willing to baby you through all your quests, you will have to purchase parts and ships from shipwrights.
Clearly, the economy will survive the CU.

Well to answer the topic of the the thread..its well into post-CU time and the ecomy seems to still be around..it hasnt gone belly up yet,
So I think its safe to say the economy survived..changed yes, died, hardly.
