Ever try to search for vendors using the in game map? You highlight vendors, on the right, then what you want, but you can't read any of it, especially around coronet. Would be nice if you could zoom in farther

You can use the slider at the bottom and it will zoom in .

If you use CRTL M for overhead map and hold CRTL and scroll with your wheel on your mouse it zooms in plenty far in. Sometimes you do need to rotate the screen a bit to read the close together ones.

I'm referring to the map, with the waypoints, You go over to the right, expand vendors, choose something like resources. It then puts green waypoints all over the map. Now do that standing in coronet. Zoom in on the map (CTRL-V map) even zoomed all the way in, you can't make out anything.

I agree, every once in a while around places like Theed and C'net, it would be nice to zoom in a bit further to be able to decipher between 2 (or more) vendors and get the names. Of course, if the vendors are in the same building then they appear on top of each other and you'll never be able to zoom in far enough to differentiate between them.
What I think wouldbe more helpful is to be able to activate vendor WP's just like I can with POI WP's.
I hate nothing more than, creating a WP for a bunch of vendors and then flying around, usually not finding anything, and then I have to go in and delete the WP's or my Map (CTRL+V) is even more cluttered than before. Aside from that, why does it automatically call the new waypoint "Waypoint" instead of giving it the name of the vendor?

Right click, and choose create waypoint.
for example:
Starports
Shuttleports
Trainers (what a worthless catagory since it doesn't tell you what they train)
Vendors
Equipment
I'm's Plus Ten SEA and Premium Pearls ForOne Credit Vendor
Lamers Empty Vendor of Worthless Noob Crap
All thePlus OneSEAs You Can Bare to Look At
Vendor of a Thousand Base NS Lances
Weapons
Armor
Bla
Bla
Bla
Waypoints
Cantinas
Obviously you want to go to my vendor, so you right click on it, then select create waypoint. Then go to your Data Pad, and Activate it.

By the way, my method does mark the WP as the name of the vendor.

Well then something must be wrong with my system because when I right click on any vendor and select "create waypoint"I get a waypoint named "waypoint" and it's always been that way for me. The only time the waypoint is actually named is when I create one for a NPC city. Everything else is labeled as waypoint.
As far as having the waypoints activate like POI waypoints, I simply don't want to be cluttering up my datapad with WP's that I don't need right now. Yeah, I know you can delete them if you don't want thembut, the code for doing what I suggested is already there. It just needs to be modified to include items like vendors, NPC cities, shuttles, etc. That way I can use my datapad to store waypoints that can't be derived fromthe selection menu on the map, like friends houses or harvesters.
Well, thats just my 2 cents. It probably won't ever see the light of a digital day. Oh well.
