Thread: Can We Fix the Server Problems??? Spawns and Harvesters

First problem - Since we went off ofdaily resets, and sometimes even with, there are frequent times when certain planets do not spawn lairs and mobs properly, and the landscape is 99% barren. This has gone on in the game for a long long time. To get buffed up, have some hunting or such scheduled when you need it, and go waste our time to find a blighted wasteland, is nonsense. Please find a means to detect or change so that spawns are working properly, or enable the CSR's the means to reset them, rather than respond to tickets with nonsense about "spawns vary at times in quantity" when I'm clearly looking at a broken spawn problem.


Second problem - while the factories stopping mysteriously may have been fixed, we still have the ####ed harvesters stopping, seemingly around server restarts. This is nuts, we get a spawn of lok wild wheat, after many many many months of draught, and I go out and find that 4 out of 5 harvesters appeared to have stopped two days prior, which coincides with a server reset, and instead of 60K of resources harvested in each, most of them stopped mysteriously with only 19k in them, a loss of 41k per harvester. Nuts to that. Nuts to all of this. This is the kind of stuff makes me want to chuck it all.


When will these things get fixed?

I've never experienced the harvestor problem but the spawn problem is pretty apparent. Last night on Dathomir there wasn't a random rancor spawn to be found. Bring back the daily resets.

I too have had harvesters stop for no apparent reason.

I filled them with maintainence, come back a week later and it had harvested 0 resources.

The spawn was still there and I had selected it correctly (Been doing this a year lol)

I have no idea what happened and can't remember if the server reset or not.

Yep Niven, happened to me too, 0 resources after a week!
Like u, I had enough maint and power for a week.

I haven't had the harvester problem. Occasionally I'll have the factory issue. As for more random spawns, I thought that change was intentional. It used to be exceedingly dangerous on elite worlds because there were so many random spawns (this is before speeders). Planets are mostly safe these days.

I have had the exact same problem with some of my harvesters (but not all... it seems to be intermittent). I am very careful to double-check that the harvesters are turned on and set to the correct resources, and some of them simply stop when they have plenty of maintenance and power and the assigned resource is still there. Others end up with 0 in the hopper even when I saw some in the hopper (and left it there) during a previous check.


For a while I thought the problem might be that SGW sometimes doesn't respond to buttonclicks (e.g., sometimes when I click on "turn harvester on", nothing happens, and I have to click on it 2 or 3 times before it actually turns on... it's confusing, because I still hear the "confirmation sound" each time, yet nothing happens). But it must be more than just this, since some of my harvesters that I KNOW have been running fine mysteriously stop.

Yes, same thing happens to me, historically I know some can stop, so I always make sure I see some resources in the hopper before I close interface and leave, and next time I come back to check, they're empty and not producing. With 75% of my harvesters falling victim to this now, I'm at my wits end.

I recently had a factory stop in mid-run for no reason. Had over 10 days of maint and power left, and more than the needed ingredients. All I had to do was start it back up again...

That's disturbing, considering they were just supposed to have fixed factories. Haven't started a production since 13.1 on factories, still selling out of previously produced crates... Will be keeping my eyes on factories.
