I think it would be interesting to have intrest for the money in your bank. The % would/could depend on the current credit value on that server. It would be monthly so you wouldn't get rich off of it. I think it would be interesting. That or the imperial pay check

Would you also like the government to take 'x' amount of credits for "taxes", bank fees, etc. This would be like a real world bank. Extra money would be nice, though!

I don't think the devs are keen about trying to add money to the game. Especially free money. What purpose would interest in a bank serve? It's not like banks offer loans to allow them to earn more money than they pay out in interest.

I don't think this is the best idea. The plan will just make the rich evenricher since they have more credits to begin with...

What the devs might consider is a system using the bank terminal to offer loans to otherr players. You know how when you bank tip someone and you get a message saying the money is in escrow? Perhaps we can modify that system and open a loan account on a bank terminal. The loan account would just hold negative value for a while (whatever the grace period is before payments are required). Then the player would get messages to pay whatever minimum requirement is necessary and they would go to the bank terminal and either transfer funds from their bank account or add funds from their current wallet into the loan balance. If the player doesn't pay the minimum, the system automatically notifies the loan provider that the loanee is defaulting and then it would start garnishing your bank balance. If a player removed all their credits from the bank account and kept it in the their wallet, the system would keep garnishing up until money entered the account. Maybe when garnishing starts, there could be system penalty fees. Since mission payouts automatically go to the bank, eventually the loan provider would be paid. Not sure how to work this if the borrower deletes their account. Perhaps when the loan provider sets up the loan, there should be a secondary character to set up default money in escrow.
I think this could be a way loans could be done, but I'm not sure what possible use loans would have in this game.

Loans wouldn't work because unlike in real life we can delete ourselves and then make ourselves again.
/Make char.
/Borrow x credits.
/Tip credits to friend/alt
/Delete char.
/Start again.
Interest would be bad too. A while ago I had 40+ million in my account. Even if I was only earning 1% per month on that; I would be raking in 400k+ each payment. How could a new character with say 50k-100k in his account compete with that?

Yeah we'd be able to survive on just our interest.
