I've never been a big fan of doctor buffs. I haven't read around all the various posts looking for a lot of detailed information on this. Is there a post someone can link to that might explain what is going to happen with them? They just felt like a way to actually get people to give doctors credits b/c no one tips. Personally a better idea would be (outside of combat situations that is) to have a billing system (dialog box that says you have to agree to pay this amt. which is auto withdrawn after the doc heals you and you get another box that says "yes they actually did it" to avoid the shaft) in place instead if you want docs to get some money. Superhumans/aliens are not very "Star Wars"
Or instead of raising your health doctor buffs could fortifiers of your HAM, making you more resistant (this could work for food too). Again though these are things I've thought of w/o digging for anything. I just post what's on my mind to get a reaction most times.

To be honest not anyone past the devs know at this point and those that may have participated in testing thus far on it. However all of those are under NDAs so they can't talk about it.
Rumour has it that they will work more like Ent buffs in that you can't get a buff for more than the stat. So your health is 700 for example, then with a doc buff you could get to 1400 but that's it. Like I said that's just rumour. And we won't have any way of knowing for sure until the NDA is lifted ( probably shortly before it release )

The first rule of CU posts: Those who can tell don't know.
The second rule of CU posts: Those who know can't tell (and they may not know everything anyway).
The third rule of CU posts: Red names are exempt from rules 1 and 2, watch dev tracker (or the "In Development" forum) for official announcements.
Speculation is fun, but with a few exceptions just reduces the signal/noise of the forums. If you've got a particular concern, send a PM to the appropriate correspondant (or any correspondant if there's not one particular to your worry) and we'll make sure it's brought up.
CU information will be made public before it goes live. Worst case, it'll be on Testcenter for a bit for everyone to try out. Based on press releases about the expansion, it sounds like that'll be early May (or maybe even before).

The fourth rule of CU posts: If they signed the NDA and tell anywhy, how can you trust the word of someone who will break a NDA
