Thread: Player not receiving bank tips

Hi can't seem to find anything about this and search not working, I bank tipped a guy 3 lots of 1 mill and he says he only received the first 1 million even though it says in my mail that it has been sent, sent a ticket and waiting for response. I sent another guy 3 million the same way a few hours previously which worked fine. Is there a cap on the amount of money you can bank tip within a session? Also anyone know if i can have 2 BARC speeders in my datapad? as i wish to buy one for a friend.

Have not heard of this problem before. However, I would recommend never bank tipping that much to anyone, especially if its in payment for an item. The best way to do it is to withdraw the money and do a secure trade. That way both parties know what is coming and going...it also eliminates any dishonest dealings.

Not to mention the 5% surcharge for bank tips...that's 50K for every million credits bank tipped!

I don't want to jump and point the finger, but sounds like a scam.

When using a bank tip, you get 2 messages. The first is that the money has been sent. You should recieve another when the money has been recieved. Check your emails again. If you tipped the guy 3 million on 3 transactions, you should have recieved 6 total emails. 3 notifying that the money had indeed been sent via the bank, and 3 more confirming that the money had been recieved.

Thank you for your comments,i got 3 mails "...has received 1000000 credits from you, viabank wire transfer" the second mail arrived 3 secs after the first, and the same with the last. Doesn't SWG keep a record of all bank transfers?

Lotta luck to you on that one. I've got a dishonest vendor working for me that pocketed over 3 mil in credits from items I had listed on it. Submitted 2 tickets for it so far and I get the "no record of any transactions" response and then the ticket is closed.

Really sry to hear that, got my ticket back saying that i did indeed pay him, now i gottaconvince get him to give me my goods

another thing to check is the exact name of the person tipped, i lost 200k when i banktipped widowmaker and not widowwmaker (who was standing in front of me), there are alot of names that are very similar.

if they are standing right in front if you its easier to just target them and type /tip amount bank
