Thread: What are the point in Barker Droids?

Why spend 50k - 100k on a Barker Droid to shout around Bestine for you, because when you shuttle, the Droid stores.
You have to stay in the same place for the Droid to carry out his duties. Now, to me, this just sounds like a waste of money because you can just set up a macro and shout out yourself.
Can this problem be resolved please?

50k - 100k! Wow. I spent 18k for mine...too bad I never got the skills to use it.Use the droid for 'double' exposure. Have the droid do its thing near the star port, while you do yours near the bazaar terms.

It is a pain that it disappears when going to a new planet, but when I'm on a planet for any length of time (harvester runs/restocking vendors), I always set it out, especially outside the Coronet spaceport. Gives me at least an hour or two of advertising.

Its because its bugged. And we all know how quickly any crafting related bug gets fixed. Next to never on the list unless it affects combat in a big way. Crafters get no love unless it starts breaking the game and LA lets some devs hands loose to actually fix some of our problems.

That may very well be true. Unless this is a recent bug (last month or so). I used to advertise in both bestine and theed at the same time a while back and when I returned home to Bestine the droid would still be in place...
This was before I got JTL on my 2nd account.
