I was just wondering if it is possible to transfer credits, or basically tip someone, on a different server?

Technicly, no. It it not possible to bank tip someone ona different server. But we humans are inventive, so there are some smart guys that figured out "Cross Server Trade"

Since I am not enteirly sure if thats legal or not, I will not tell you further details

I would have to say since so many of them are faciliated in the galaxy trade forums that it would have to be legal.

Its "legal" just not "smart".

Couldn't you take it in a business approach? Many internet companies trade and sell game currency. They couldn't cheat you, otherwise, you could sue them and cause problems for the company.

That would ruin the economies. I don't think its a good idea to do that. But on the contrary you can find someone who will exchange credits at some rate between servers with you, in that case I see no problem.

I recently just added cross server credit transfer advertisements to all server trade forums mentioned, go peek about if you have any interest in the specifics.

I think they should keep people from transfering credits between servers. One server might just lose a ton of it's credits.

How much time was spent thinking on that? O.o

No one person could possibly transfer enough credits to hurt an entire economy. And umm *Rubs forehead in frustration* If credits are transferred, that means none potentially leave the server... The credits just change characters on that server. Very rarely are transfers done in any signifigant amount, but even rarer still are transfers done from point A, to point B, with player B reimbursing on point C instead of point A.

Not sure if you are useing transfer in two different ways.

Using Cross-Server Trade, the amount of credits on each server stays the same just moves credits between toons on each server. So this would have no real effects on a server.

If you mean actually transfering credits from one server to another,"No one person could possibly transfer enough credits..." may be true but allowing unrestricted credit transfers would mean a large guild could have unforseen concequences on an economy if this was allowed or over time the amount of credit transfers could have a noticable effect.

If there's a guild organized well enough to transfer all of their worldy assets to another server then by god let them, they diserve to do whatever they wish given that they're putting in such an effort and feat of cooperation and planning to make such a thing happen. Even still though, there's a lot of folks in guilds that're still incredably poor so even then, you'd still have to be batching up several of the richest people on the server anyways. From the top down perspective it's all entirely mute.... Someone with enough money to damage an economy generally doesn't even touch the economy. When Taurean became a billionaire I suddenly stopped buying things. So regardless of my amassed wealth, it has no effect on the economy whatsoever. Just because guy A has 1 million and guy B has 100 million that doesn't mean guy B's gonna spend 10 times as much money lol....
