Well, first I like the changes.

I'm not sure I see how it works exactly, but I noticed from my main vendor I could basically search all vendors of similar products planet wide.

So I'm wondering why I need a vendor in multiple cities on the same planet.

It would seem to me that one in the busyest trafic areas (In a busy mall) would be as effective as several in multiple locations.

Making comparison shopping so easy, will lead to an equilibrium in pricing faster as all prices are easily compared. the only thing that will vary prices, will be the ability to keep vendors stocked. (I think..been drinkin so my logic may be off)

As a buyer I'll travel to a location for the best price and if they have a decent mall look at other vendors for the stuff I forget I need, but better buy cause I finally found a tailor that has a mask scent thong on sale... Uhh it's for this Twi'lek chick I swear!

I have 3 vendors on Naboo, with the new system should I not consolidate into the area with the greatest sales volume (which happens to be in a mall) for the foot traffic advantage?

I think that basically areas of commerce (Malls, Business districts basically become the spot to be, that and by a major starport)
