Is pretty crap on Ahazi? Is this the same on other servers? Anycommentary on this from anybody, or is it just me being n00b and not knowing that good steel only spawns every five months?

It's all gone. And so am I.

Well, I'm an Arch, and there's quite a drought here, and I have a friend who's a crazy devoted weaponsmith, and he's pissed too, so that makes it rather... yeah.

The thing that worries ME is that I've looked at the 'ratings' system on SWGCraft and it shows minerals in sort of 'tiers' where the highest tier has a HUGE HR / SR / UT but that same type of steel is being sux0r right now.

Like, really bad sux0r. 75 or so UT sux0r.

Well it does happen. Arch steel got rather pricey since the good steel and iron wasn't spawning at all. And we also had bad droughts for class 4 liquid petrochem and LWW. And has your server gone a few weeks without radioactive mineral? Our's has. The big resource groups were panicking.

When you say it's crap, what profession are you talking about? Archs deal mostly in SR, HR, and UT. Weaponsmiths in CD and OQ, sometimes in SR and UT. Armorsmiths in SR and OQ. The spawn guideline algorithims vary from server to server. You might just be going through a drought of your particular desired steel stat. Like on Kettemoor, we had an arch quality steel drought for several months.

Lame.

Spawn rates need an increase - FINDING the stuff should be the hard part, not seeing it on the server at all.... I wouldn't mind it so much if I could go up into the mountains and only be able to throw down personals or mediums 'cause of space, but having NO access to the good stuff is debilitating.

Scarcity of resources has value in our economy. Depending on when you start, you might get access to a different set of resources. Changes in value of products and materials is a dynamic of the economy.

Yes, the servers seem to be getting stingy with the steel. I am a shipwright on Bria. And every patch seems to make it much more difficult to be one. FYI, shipwrights need massive amounts of steel.

Maybe it's the devs subtle way of telling to use the stuff already pulled out of the ground. Has anyone looked at how many unused resources there are sitting on vendors scattered all over the galaxy.

Mind you at the prices people are charging i'm shutting down my factories and minimizing overhead and riding it out.

I suggest harvesting alternative quality resources and selling them at one cpu to people who can use them this should give you enough cash to ride out the drought and maybe undercut those resource gougers who charge 10 cpu for crap resources.

I don't think the devs tweaked the resources except for with JTL and that was continual availability and increased spawn concentrations.

Bloodfin has been flooded with uber steel lately. I've got 40 harvesters working from me on 88-92% of this stuff right now:
Trisofaka, Duralloy Steel
CR=747, CD=600, DR=963, HR=985, MA=365, OQ=981, SR=942, UT=982 *****

I did ore last week but there was a 999 OQ steel spawn and the week before I got 3 million units of this stuff:
Omnivaded Duralloy Steel
CR=800, CD=646, DR=980, HR=949, MA= 372, OQ=535, SR=999, UT=942 ****

It's so good the resource brokers are trying sell their stockpiles of a 1000OQ from a couple months ago at 10 CPU and it's not selling at all. The downside is there's so much uber stuff spawning (not just steel) and people are mining it so there's a severe grind ore shortage, Lowest I could find 500k or more of any carbonate was 1.2 CPU Though that wasn't helped by having a 6* carbonate ore the other week too.

Sorry to hear things are tight on your server, we were starting to think the devs had tweaked resource spawns to make sure everyone had stockpiles of good resources for the CU, apparently we're just lucky.

It's not an MMORPG anymore, just an ORPG. The only thing massive is the extent to which SOE screwed up and there's not going to be anyone left for multiplayer

yeah ahazi has been lame, but thats what resource kits are for, you only need a small amount of top end stuff for architect, rohi averaged about 7cpu when i was an architect, not bad for making the good stuff
