Tailors (almost) universally oppose it. We like selling clothes, not paint.

As an AS I would love to have Armor paintkits. Or make it an Artisan or Tailor item...I don't care who makes it, I just want it in the game. That way I can concentrate on making armor instead of being a fashion consultant. ![]()

Paint kits are needed most definatly for clothes and armor... It will make it alot easier for ASs to sell armor. With comp being the only useful armor and recolorable it was never an issue, but now it is.
Same with clothing. My brother is a Master Tailor and he wishes there was a dye kits like on UO. For him it takes way too long to stock a vendor with all the different clothing pieces and when he adds in the fact that he needs several different color options for each piece of clothing it becomes a major pain that takes days if not weeks to do, also hard to keep on top of it all.
And with furniture... They should make them recolorable. Right now all the furniture looks the same and is bland. They need to add color options for the furniture and offer color kits.
IMO.. The less we ask for dye kits and the more Tailors, SOME tailors, argue not having them the faster we will get dye kits. We know the developers love to do the exact opposite of what we ask and make up lies about what the community demands so.
