maybe its because mine was not so eloquently worded...but why did you make a direct copy of my statement posted directly before yours...by about an hour or more?
Great points by the way....I agree completely. I started on Day1 so there were none to show me the ropes. But I showed the ropes to many-a-n00b. Until they start offering me 18million for their BARC. Screw 'em. They wont get a buck from me.
Sorry Vargos I was not trying to steal your parade actually I was going to bump your post too later..... I STRONGLY support what you said and it helped to inspire me to post too........
The SPECIFIC reason I posted too is because this is an issue that I feel demands MUCH more attention than One thread alone will generate! Not that mine will achieve anything special but.......
I hope others will start BARKING about the Barc!
Just incase you decide to file a Plagiarism suit I went ahead and changed the title out of respect for your thread.... lol ![]()
Don't buy one Vargos even though you can afford it..... sure maybe trade a newbie something useful for one like armour and a house and some meds but DONT make someone a millionaire before their time and especially don't support the scammers that are scooping these up like ADKs and selling them to the desperate .......
You know Vargos no word of a lie I have never been to the Business and Economy threads until today and the SOLE reason I came was to draft a Barc issue.... Finding yours was synchronous and know that I will continue to bump your thread too!

People that get easy money tend to spend it just as quickly. It was hilarious to watch during the first round of vet rewards, people hawking stuff at the Starport and then running off with the cash and spending it in my, and my friends, shops. I made more money that week (30+ million) than I had since the new (now defunct) combat droids were put in last year.
Yeah, SOE sold out on this one - by making it tradable. On the other hand, it's the only way some of us are going to ever get one.
Me, I think I'll just be happy with my jetpack. Still the fastest vehicle in the game, with zero terrain negotiation.

The fastest? Are you being sarcastic? If not, since when? I always found it to be unbearably slow.
I agree with you on some of your points. But not all of them. I play this game for enjoyment. I don't get much free time, but what free time I have is usually wrapped up in this game. I love it and always have.
The combat upgrade for me wasn't the end of the world. I hadn't progressed in the game far enough to really understand the changes even though I have been playing for a very long time. I have learned to adapt and overcome the changes though, and even appreciate what the devs were really trying to do.
I did not know how some of these vehicle's came into being until I read your thread today however. I saw them for the first time yesterday and a guy offered to auction a BARC speeder and requested people bid privately to him. I didn't plan on paying him, but I was curious to his limits. I offered 1.5 mil and he told me "Sorry, my lowest bid is 10 mil." I nearly fell out of my chair! I told him the people offering that were nuts and he said, "Yeah I know. I can't believe it."
Yes it is disturbing that someone would pay that much for a speeder, but you are blamine SOE for the wrong reason I think. Newbies get the speeder. Veteran's get vet rewards, but they also get something else. The respec. I had a multitude of skills, but I was never a master anything. I wanted BH and at the pace I was going I wouldn't reach that skill for many years. =-) I have respecced my character at least five times. It certainly allows you freedom to customize your character without penalty. Also, any armor you had in your inventory was able to be changed to the class of armor your new respec needs.
The people that have been most vocal about the CU and other decisions that the devs have made seem to be reacting just like many other humans do when confronted with change, resist it. I speculate that had SWG been launched from the beginning with the current system in place no one would be complaining about the current issues. I'm sure they would find something to complain about, but that is how change progresses. Find a problem and fix it.
We all love Star Wars. We all love the idea of this game. I agree that as buyers of this game we have a lot of power and that there are public forums to address our issues within the game. But, I think that the issues being called into question are motivated by greed and convenience. And if there is one thing I have learned about progressing in this game, nothing is convenient. But I love it anyway and I still play it. I want to see where this game goes. I want to see other worlds added, like Coruscant, Hoth, etc.. The devs created a game interface that would allow players to have input on the game ('Test Center'). Good luck and, "May the Force be with you."
